Oh how I love all things red and white - but second only to some good old hearty grub... and this years Xmas party is no exception...

Choices for food at the Uni arms for Xmas are as follows...

Buffet style (as per previous years) - £10 per person

Sit down meal (3 courses) - £22 per person

Both prices include PicthCar competition entry to win fabulous prizes.

More details...
Buffet...
Selection of sandwiches (Turkey and stuffing, honey roasted gammon and mustard, brie and cranberry, smoked salmon and cream cheese)
Pigs in blankets
Stilton topped pork pie
Rosemary salt roasted new potatoes
Seasonal vegetarian quiche
Selected petit fours (or mince pies)

3 course meal
Starters
Butternut squash & carrot soup served with a brown roll (v, vg, gf)
Salmon, cream cheese & cucumber crostini served on a bed of rocket
Ham hock bon bon’s served with a dressed side salad
Mains
Roast turkey breast with all the trimmings and seasonal vegetables
Pork belly served with a black pudding fritter, buttered mash, seasonal vegetables and a spiced apple compote
Christmas vegetable hot pot served with seasonal vegetables
Dessert
Christmas pudding served with brandy sauce (v) (gf option available)
Sticky toffee pudding & custard (v)
Chocolate brownie & ice cream (v) (gf option available)

So which option would people prefer? Again let democracy speak - highest number of votes wins. Multiple voting allowed (but as good as not voting).

While I like the idea of a sit down meal, I was convinced last year that a buffet was the way to go given the tournaments and so on, so I’ll place two votes for that (me and Sannah)

Pretty low participation, forum use is definitely waning. Can the powers that be spread the word via social media please?

On it - plan to make a shout out on Tuesday when I’m there for Xwing. But will post on Facebook and Twitter.

Buffet sounds good. Plus it's a cheaper and less likely to put off folk

At 94% for Buffet and 6% for sit down meal I'm locking this down. Thanks all. And Ho Ho Ho. Merry Christmas. I will get my elves at the Uni arms to start preparing the food - for what looks like the 18th of December - that poll was closer!
