Kickstarter is killing me...

2 miniatures games currently on Kickstarter...

The first to appear was a Walking Dead (comic book) based game...

and then yesterday a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle - Decent like game...

Both are crazy expensive. And I cannot decide which one to go for. I already have all the Zombicide stuff and I know the kids love TMNT so I'm leaning to that... but man... kickstarter is not making my addiction any easier.

My name is Paul and I'm a Kickstarter addict. It's been 3 months since I last backed a game.

Looking at the two I'd probably (if I were in your shoes) pick TMNT - Walking Dead (perhaps unsuprisingly) looks a bit similar to Zombicide for my tastes.

Personally the embargo will continue

My resolve is strong. I'll back neither.

It's difficult to justify plumping for either of them - after all, you've got to prioritize £5k for your gold plated edition of Drive You Crazee.

Well that's a given - it's going to be the best game ever and stop my children communicating via text. I think it will be like golf...

Meanwhile, I'm sorely tempted by Battlestations. It's a campaign board game, where characters level up between missions (like Imperial Assault / Descent) and it's 1 vs many. But you play at two scales at once - space battles between ships and also the characters on board the ships manning the guns, etc.

Looks like a lot of fun, but quite pricey. Before I take the plunge... would anyone be up for a campaign of this?

I definitely like the look of both of these games, so tentatively count me in if another player is needed. That said, it might make more sense to prefer someone with more experience of this type of heavier mini-based game (of which I have no experience).

You're very welcome to play, Andy! I don't think they'll be overly complex, and mostly cooperative in nature anyway so no experience required...

Anyone interested in one deck dungeon on kickstarter? Looks pretty good but postage to the UK is pretty steep. But there's a bulk option of 12 decks. I'd be happy to get 1 or 2. Any other takers? Works out at $24 per deck inc postage for the bulk order
