I have a couple of unplayed games to bring on Friday; Zooloretto and Cthulhu Realms for a start. It might just be the Friday night for me but hopefully I'll be able to pop in another time over the weekend.

Is there a space left for Mansions of Madness? If not, I'd love to play it another time.

Just to say hi, all sounds very exciting. Having to leave my plans a bit vague but hoping to be along for at least some of the madness!

Now, if there was interest in a game of the 2nd edition of Exodus Proxima Centauri.... with the player powers expansion...

Seems like I wont be able to be there for as much as I would have liked due to having plans saturday night and Sunday day time. But hopefully will be able to attend on Friday night and Saturday day time. Maybe towards the end of Sunday depending on when I finish.

Looks like we can actually make it on the Saturday - is it ok for us to turn up in the evening?

I fancy some Viticulture, mechs vs minions, stronghold (1st ed), crisis and possibly some other random stuff

As we get closer to pauly2con... I'm going to set up a Whatsapp group for more detailed 'on the day' sorts of planning, e.g. "I'm leaving in 30 minutes. Is anyone else there?", "Should I bring x game, anyone want to play?", "Can anyone give me a lift from Huddersfield?"

I'm going to add all the people whose details (i.e. phone number) I have to the group initially.

If you don't want to be in it then that's fine, I won't be offended, just leave the group.

If you want to be in it and I don't add you then it means I don't have your details - just PM me with your phone number and I'll add you.

And if you don't have a fancy phone with Whatsapp then I'll try not to exclude you. Will still post anything of significance here and will still be reachable by good, old-fashioned SMS.

We should be along sometime on Friday evening and on Saturday. I'm still trying to get to play Diamant after bringing it to 3 club nights and Roll with It so I'll bring that.

pauly2con is nearly upon us! So time for me to repost...

Some rough opening times are:
Friday 11th November: 18:00 - 00:00
Saturday 12th November: 12:00 - 00:00
Sunday 13th November: 12:00 - 22:00

I put the start at midday on the weekend dates because, in practice, noone came any earlier than that last year but there'll be a few of us around the whole weekend so morning gaming is also possible (as long as we're awake). If anyone is keen to do that then let me know and we'll organise something.

I really like Incan Gold too. Be interested to try the new edition.

Unfortunately my wife is unwell and I am not able to attend Paulygcon after all. I hope it goes well and I hope to make it to the next one if/when it happens. Thanks to Paul for the tremendously generous open invitation to his home. Have fun everyone!

PS - Aneurin, sorry we have to back out of Mansions of Madness. I hope you still have enough players to get a game going.

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who came along and made this weekend super fun. It really was great to play games with so many people. I hope you all enjoyed it!

I had a grand time and I'm happy I could contribute in some small way

I played 12 games, 9 of them new to me and christened 2 of the 3 unplayed games I brought so I defintely felt I did pretty well there!

I liked it. It's very much streamlined from Cosmic Encounter, and the player powers are nowhere near as game-breaking. Some of the mechanics are quite different, too, though the basic encounter system remains much the same. I think I'll need to play it some more to work out some of the different strategy. You have a pool of 'power' which works like the ships in Cosmic, but cycles from your leader out to your characters [planets] to be used in battles and then back again if you're defeated. You can trade this power with others, which is an interesting twist. Hostages are also a completely new idea which gives some extra negotiation options and also the ability to really stick the boot in.

Overall: jury is out whether I prefer it to Cosmic or not yet. But I definitely want to play it some more.
