Or, you know, Food Chain Magnate...
I'd like to play either of those. I've played Village a couple of times but not with the expansions.

I'll join some Euro fun.
I also have Fresco which is a quicker worker placement that deserves to be played, if we get time to combine.

Cool, let's pencil FCM in for the 18th then John/Tom if you like. I know Jen said she was interested in it some time but wanted to watch a video first.
So Village tomorrow:
1) Meurig
2) BeardyTom
3) PsychoSam
4)
5)
I also found my brand spanking new kickstarted Tiny Epic Western waiting for me when I got in, so I'll bring that too.

I'm currently sat out side in the beer garden. The small room upstairs seems free but they seem to be having some kind of talk or something so might not be the best place to be for those coming early to eat

Re: Tuesday 4th October - Room available @7pm
Thanks to everyone for entertaining my rather OTT multi-map zombicide scenario. The idea was that I had enough stuff to run in essence 2 normal zombicide games. Running around a map. Disposing of the dead and collecting scenario winning tokens. And once one table completed the objective set (collect 2 keys) the two tables would/could meet and duke it out; racing to the opposite side of the town.
It was fun seeing how the two apparently similar games panned out. The table I was on had a hard time with lots of fast moving birds and big spawns close to our location really stemming movement early on. We had very poor weapons - our best an AK47 and duel wielded Machetes that were passed around the group using the trade action whenever we could. We lucked out on some character abilities, shove and +1 damage allowing us to deal with the 2 abominations we spawned on yellow level - and deal with the movement of some of the larger hoards of Zombies that were forming. It felt tense and IMO exactly how this thing would go down. Most of us had to take a wound at some point.
When we looked over at the other map - they seemed to finding all the useful gear and having to deal with very few zombies. Jealously was striking in. I wanted what they had! But that given, the chaos on our board meant we levelled super quickly. We had some really great stategy happening in the end with half the team slipping around the hoards and distracting them while Will and Brad made a break for the connecting map tile with the all important keys. We managed to get through but I lost Brad along the way. I think in the end we had pretty much every zombie on the board and so we called it a day.
Even though we didn't get to the part where we tried to kill each other I did enjoy the game. The feeling around our table was it was all very silly but great fun. Wondered what the experience of the other table was? Also how could the scenario be improved? Smaller starting maps (2*2 tiles) with less activations and spawn spots?

Just to stik up for team Pan here - We dealt with a lot of zombies, and a few abominations (and birds). But that's the thing, we DEALT with them, so they didn't pile up and make a horde. I have to say, Kes (as the experienced player) did a great job of keeping us as a tight group, Paul did a phenomenal job of being a human wrecking ball, Evan did a superb job as a vanguard and scout pushing us onwards, and Arun did wonders with his pan and urgency to move away from the starting spot. We had a good group all round. Each team member specialised, and we traded only to enhance that specialisation and make each other stronger, not to keep sharing the same weapons.
I think a smaller map with fewer spawn points would've made for a tighter game. We only explored about 2/3s of our area. I totally agree with your sides' assessment though: very silly but immensely fun! Very enjoyable. Thanks Aneurin.

Re: Tuesday 4th October - Room available @7pm
We definitely got lucky on the early spawns. For the first 3-4 turns we spawned maybe 3-5 tops. It gave us a lot of space to move about it. If you hit yellow before you've got half decent weaponry, it can be hard to get on top of it as you experienced shoots up.
I found it very interesting to see how differently the two games played. Would definitely try it again though

Re: Tuesday 4th October - Room available @7pm
I thoroughly enjoyed the game. being able to roleplay smashing zombies as Gordon Ramsey with a frying pan definately helped in such matters. I agree with everyones synopsis of hte game it was straight ridiculous fun. I thik we were definately right to stop when we did. As far as balancing it for future. Smaller boards could help as by the time we joined it was definately impossible to finish. but it could be too fast.
Great company, great laughs, great times.
Also bonus laughs from the clock boss.
