10 x 10 for 2017

Almost halfway through the year now so how's everyone doing?

I'm on 314 plays of 83 different games. Top list:

75 Star Wars: X-Wing Miniatures Game
40 The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game
37 Android: Netrunner
24 Santorini
14 Crokinole
11 Mechs vs. Minions
7 Pandemic Legacy: Season 1
6 Gloomhaven
5 Star Wars: Imperial Assault
4 Codenames (6 if you include Pictures)
4 King of New York

LOTR has only just taken over from Netrunner, but since I'm now playing two seperate run throughs it might even threaten X-Wing by the end of the year. Crokinole is an odd one; only takes a few minutes to play so I counted sets of three to stop it getting ridiculous.

What I'd like to get on the list is more Ashes. I've only played one game so far this year and I definitely want to play that more.

I'm on 97 plays of 67 different games - I was aiming to play 100 unique games in 2017, so I should smash that. Not so much the 10 x 10. I'm on: 12, 5, 3, 3, 3, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2.

That said, I count "sessions of play", such that if I sit down and play 5 games of Santorini, I count that as one "play" rather than five. Perhaps that's where I'm going wrong...

It's hard to know what to count sometimes, like I said with Crokinole. If we lose a hero turn one in LOTR and reset I don't count it, but I count each play of Santorini as one. I've started playing Dungeons and Dragons recently and don't know what to do with that. I count sessions, but it's not really a "play" at all.

Anyway, what are your top games?

Generally if a game could reasonably be described in terms of "hands" (such as Coup, Resistance or Codenames) I tend to count sessions.

So, yeah, my new plan is to play enough games enough times so that Monopoly Marvel Avengers drops out of my top ten!
