Sunday session 5th Feb @ The Red Deer
Sessions go back to normal next month. Who'll be there?

Re: Sunday session 5th Feb @ The Red Deer
I'll be there. I think I'm going to be playing SpleenyDotson's alien Cold War game. I'm also aiming to bring a prototype myself, possibly a filler about building a nightclub, or one of two short games with the theme of bodybuilding. No promises I will bring one of them, but a 100% price-back guarantee that if I do bring one, it won't kill anyone. Probably.
I'll need to play a published game at some point in the day. Any offers?

Is it a case of write what you know, Sam? Bodybuilding and nightclubs?
Re: Sunday session 5th Feb @ The Red Deer
If I can make it down, I might be looking to get bardagi played.

Re: Sunday session 5th Feb @ The Red Deer
I should be there! I picked up detective game Android in a sale if a couple of people would be interested in joining me for that (probably looking at a play time of 3-4 hours from what I've heard).
Re: Sunday session 5th Feb @ The Red Deer
I'm all in on the playtesting front I think.
Sam, I'll go nightclubbing and bodybuilding with you, sounds like a good time
I've also made a bunch of changes to my cowboy dungeon game so I'm hoping to rustle up a few for that too

I will have Nomads (version 4.1) ready for another test by then.
It seems like there could be quite a few prototypes to try out on Sunday. If anyone is interested in playtesting any of these in between their normally scheduled gaming, they would be very welcome. Even Kes.

No offence intended, but reading that phrase out of context has given me the giggles.

I'll bring the dumbbells, you bring the Jägermeister.
I'm up for Nomads and another play of Rich's Tile Laying Dungeon Game™️️, so maybe I will just spend the day playtesting after all.

Playtesting is definitely the theme...I'm also hoping to bring a prototype I've been working on recently. It's called Ma1Functi0n, and it's a cooperative game set in a lab, which involves working together to try and get a malfunctioning robot back to its power station.
I'd be happy to playtest other games too - would quite like to try Rich's cowboy dungeon crawler in particular, as I missed out last time due to being otherwise engaged at the time. Also would be good to try Nomads 4.1 as well, to see how its improved from last time.

Re: Sunday session 5th Feb @ The Red Deer
Hi
We have only popped along once on a Tuesday night last year as newcomers.. but are interested in the Sunday sessions as we can't make Tuesdays anymore.
We fancy a game of Eldritch Horror with four players.. we have only played it a few times ourselves as a two player, but think we might have more chance of surviving if there are an additional two more players?
Otherwise we are happy to join with some Eurogames .. as these seem to be our favourite at the moment.
What time does everyone turn up?
Angel

Re: Sunday session 5th Feb @ The Red Deer
Hi! We have the room from 12.30 and typically a reasonable number of people turn up around this time but, as it's a much longer session than the Tuesday (basically runs until everyone leaves which is something like 9pm usually), people tend to come and go through the day. Look forward to seeing you there!angel_t wrote:Hi

Android sounds good if there's still room.

Yep! I'll try to get there for 12.30 and start setting up (which will take a good half hour given the amount of bits in the box I think!)Jen_K wrote:Android sounds good if there's still room.
Newbie
Hi guys. Long time forum stalker first time post replier. Is the Sunday session open to newbies? If so do you have room for one more?
