I'm thinking of going straight after work so I would get there about 5:30, do you know if its alright to go in an play games at this time or am I better off coming down at 7?

If you're getting there early, there shouldn't be a problem. Just advise the barman. We use the room upstairs.

I should get there around 7, work depending and will bring some of the new games as well as ones we've played before.
