CHirstmas Party 2013 - 10th December
Thoughts? Especially on party games we can run a knock-out league on? Pitch Car maybe?
Ok after speaking to club members at the Redhouse last night it was decided that we would all bring a dish of something to the Xmas do and create our own buffet. The idea is to spend around £3-5 each. Some people bring savoury, some sweet, some crackers and silly hats (we can form a list to help decisions). Jeff is cool with this so we are a go...
I will try and get Pitch-car (from Neil) for the night - any other party games welcome so we can run a small on the night competition. Club funds can just about stretch to a small prize for the overall winner of whatever games we play...
Should be a good do.
We just need to pick a date.... hence the poll and the e-mail directing you here.

Good idea, hopefully Jeff can accommodate something.
I think it was Kes that suggested last week that it might be a good idea to use a game that we have more than one copy of, is that the case with pitch car?

Re: CHirstmas Party 2013 - 10th December
So further to this...
I have contacted Jeff and in short we have 3 options:
1) Redhouse Organised Cold Buffet £7.50 each
2) Redhouse Organised Cold Buffet 'with extras' £10 each
3) Bring our own buffet...
I think number 3 is a good idea as people just show up with a dish of something and we all share. We used to do this at work for our Xmas do and it generally works ok given a small list of essentials. What do people think?

I'm going to abstain, any day is fine for me. I'm still very much up for going
Re: CHirstmas Party 2013 - 10th December
Don't think I can make it next week so if you can 'remind' people to vote or do a show of hands for each day that would be advantageous...
Although if people don't use the forum then sorting out what dish everyone is bringing could be tricky!

Re: CHirstmas Party 2013 - 10th December
I can do all 3 probably, but 10th is best for me (Couldn't see how to show this in the vote)
I have pitchcar mini plus an expansion if it helps
I also have Tumbling dice and a spreadsheet from when i did as a tournament with a youth group (Probably could find the spreadsheet)

Sounds great Tim... bring it all along. If you just vote for the 10th that's fine... I did
Re: CHirstmas Party 2013 - 10th December
I could probably make any date but 10th suits me best.

Re: CHirstmas Party 2013 - 10th December
Trying to think of good game that can accommodate more people and/or move a bit quicker. These are the ones I can think of but I'm sure there are more.
Anyone have any other suggestions for more party, less strategy games?
Coup
Escape: The Curse of the Temple
Hey, That's My Fish
Geistesblitz
Tsuro
Saboteur
King of Tokyo
Jungle Speed
Panic Lab
Ca$h 'n Gun$
Formula Car Racing
Tumblin-Dice
Skull and Roses
Bang

Formula Car Racing is a good one...
Escape and Bang? Well the former is co-op (although would be fun to play as a party'ish game) and the latter... I wouldn't say it's quick

Re: CHirstmas Party 2013 - 10th December
No, but it can play quite a few people
Stop bashing my ideas and start suggesting some of your own

I quite liked the idea of Ultimate werewolf... similar to bang but quicker... how about Shadow hunters?
Ermmm...
I'm organising PitchCar...
Dixit (although Jon would go mad)
Neuroshima Hex (4 player)
X-wing with each player taking an X-wing and every man for himself... no idea how turn order would happen? Cards?
Polarity (2/4 player) for the final game

Ave Caesar would be a good one, it's quick and plays 6. I've got it and I'm assuming you do too, Tim?Laticpot wrote:Diamant & Ave Caesar are some of my favourites
