Holiday Aquisitions

Did anyone get any new games during ${GENERIC_WINTER_SOLSTICE_HOLIDAY}? What can we look forward to seeing at the club in the new year?

I got a copy of On Mars, a heavy Lacerda game that I managed to play once before my brother left the christmas gathering. I'm not sure I'll get it to the table again with the crowd that's left here, but I'll definitely be bringing it to games club. I also got Thud, a two-player abstract game based on Terry Pratchett's works. After playing it a few times, I think it would be much more highly rated among gamers if it were actually marketed as a game rather than just as a Discworld collectible.

I also finally picked up my copy of Glen More II, which I ordered in 2020, had delivered to my parents' house due to shipping prices, and then neither of us visited the other until now because of COVID. Maybe I'll bring that one around Burns Night. (with the Address to a Haggis expansion?)

I didn't get a lot of games for Christmas this year. Gaming Christmas for me is around UK Games Expo time.

I did get Stuffed Fables, which looks nice, and a little before Christmas I bought Imhotep: The Duel and Pandemic: Hot Zone Europe to play with Paula.

I also picked up a copy of glen more II

I got Obsession (and the extras box lol).

I bought a bunch of small box games to play around the holiday season if that counts. Really enjoyed The Crew, A Gentle Rain, Tranquility and Air, Land and Sea

I got... a jigsaw puzzle

Given how little I've been able to play with the pandemic there just isn't anything I'm particularly after right now - I'm sure that will change in time though!

As it is still have way too many games on the pile of shame anyway

I don’t think I really got any gaming presents but I bought tyrants of the underdark which I really like. Only played it 2 player so far but I’ve really enjoyed it
