Tuesday 25th March Empty Tuesday 25th March

Post  TwoDaemon Mon 24 Mar 2014, 10:41

Another week comes around, and the loop continues. How many will survive the games this week?

In other news, I now have a copy of the excellent Letters from Whitechapel, an asymmetric game in which one player plays Jack the Ripper fleeing through London, using a hidden movement system to try and evade the investigating other players. The other players in turn co-operate in order to track Jack's movement, restrict his options and locate his hideout, with the goal of arresting him before the four nights of terror are up. It is super tense and for up to six players. Anyone interested?

Incidentally, the hidden movement system is close to Fury of Dracula if anyone has played that, but done properly and without Dracula's awful combat.

I'll be coming along. I know, 2 weeks on the trot, incredible.

I too own Letters from Whitechapel, great game, but I don't think I'm in the mood to be an exasperated Peeler this week! Smile

I'm coming down this week... happy to play anything... Letters to Whitechapel sounds good - I'll give it a go! - sounds a bit like Scotland Yard?  Shocked

Letters to Whitechapel sounds good but I might be playing Eclipse. Dave said he didn't want to have to get there early though so is anyone else interested? We'll hopefully be starting by 7.30 if we play it. Better if you have played before or read the rules. If Karl and Jon are still up for it, we have 3 spaces.

Also, don't forget money for club clothing if you want some.

Joel - Do you still want to play Brass this week? I'm happy to give it a go if you want, looks interesting.

Kes - Did you look up Kemet? If you want to play it (which you should...) remind me one week and I'll bring it along.

Kathy and I should be there (assuming I get through the current mountain of work) and happy to play whatever. We'll put a couple of random choices in the bag too...

I'll be there as well. I was hoping for a game of eclipse but am happy with anything. I'll bring along Libertalia, a pirate card game I got for Christmas and still not played. It's meant to be less than an hour so if something finishes early it might suit at some point.

I've put Wyatt Earp in my bag as that's relatively short and straight forward. Might squeeze it in after whatever I end up playing.

Libertalia's an awesome game! I've not won a game yet, but still like it a lot.

Feeling rather fried (turning into a crappy week at work) so I think I fancy playing the familiar rather than something new. I'll chuck a few of my favorites in a bag (Firefly, Coup, Takenoko) and see if anyone fancies joining in. Failing that I'll be happy to make up the numbers in Whitechapel since I already know that game Very Happy

I love Coup, have played Takenoko once (but really enjoyed it) and am keen to play Firefly. So think it's fair to say that I'd be up for one or more of those...

I wasn't going to, but can - though you'll probably struggle to play both Firefly and Crusoe in one evening...

God knows I'm certainly happy to play Firefly, its probably my current favorite game Very Happy

If you guys have a chance to flip through the rules, they can be found here. I'll happily do my best to teach you how to play but I have to say explaining games isn't my forte Very Happy
