Phoenix RPG on Kickstarter Empty Phoenix RPG on Kickstarter

Hello! I'd not played an RPG for quite a few years, but Kat and I took a chance and play-tested one whilst we were on the JoCo Cruise earlier this year. The game was Phoenix: Dawn Command by Keith Baker and we both really enjoyed it. It's a card-based (rather than dice-based) RPG with relatively simple rules which are well tied to the specific setting. The 'hook' of the game is that death makes you stronger BUT your deaths need to be important (your character can only die 7 times) and define how your character develops.

Anyway, it's on Kickstarter at the moment and quite close to reaching its goal so I thought I'd mention it here in case anyone is intrigued enough to want to get a copy. When our copy arrives we'll also be looking for some people to play with...

For some reason RPGs have never interested me... but I'll gladly play your copy when it arrives!

Paul, why would you do this to me? MY bank account really can't take me backing any more RPG books that I'll never get to play. but this one looks really interesting...argh.

I've never really understood RPG's but the general idea is somewhat appealing. I'd love to tag on with a beginner's game sometime...

Would it help if I mentioned that Keith and Jenn are super lovely people and the project is *so* close to funding? ;-)
