Have you been naughty or nice?
So what boardgames are on everyone's Xmas list?
I went for Quarriors (and expansion) and the Lord of the Rings LCG

I think I'll be getting either Ora et Labora or Belfort. Well they were the ones I was shoving under Emi's nose in Patriot Games the other week.

Santa got me Lord of the Rings LCG and Dixit.
So if anyone fancies an out of hours middle earth co-op adventure let me know and we can organise something!

I ended up getting Belfort Only one play, but its good. I will also be spending the four bonus pounds on a game in the next couple of weeks, probably Ora et Labora unless I see something else more interesting.
I may be up for some out of hours games, probably not before new year though.

Warriors & Traders, looks good - carve out your own empire in dark age europe in 2 hours.
Still learning it as I have also been reading up strategy tips for Twilight Struggle. Played that with Clive just before Christmas and am absolutely hooked on it !

I've played that quite a few times now and I think the best thing to do is try not to use your own countries high level cards for their actions, as that quite often takes them out of the game. If you use them for operation points they will go back in the deck and either you will see them again in a few rounds, or the other person will use them for the operation points forcing the action to occur anyway.

Thanks Mark, sounds good advice. Especially as we've been playing the game wrong the first few times, re playing ones opponents event cards, but it's still great.

Got Quarriors (then bought the expansion the next day...) and PitchCar, and a couple of other small games, yes!

I'll bring it (on the 10th) - It's quite random, but really fun!
