Tuesday 28th July - KNIZIATHON
Jon has organised a KNIZIATHON for this Tuesday. What is a KNIZIATHON you may ask. Well Reiner Knizia is a board game designer (one of the more famous ones)... And in short we will be playing Knizia games ALL night (yes no Avalon!).
Reiner knizia has sent us 5/6 games (all signed) and some pictures to give out as prizes for this event.
The idea is to bring Knizia games you have; swot up on the rules, multiple copies are great so bring them even if you think someone else is! Playing games scores you points - highest points gets the glitter. More games played is more chances to win so Play to Move...
I will bring
Ingenious, Tigris & Eurphrates and Taj Mahal. Check you collections now...

***NEWSFLASH***** Aneurin has been busy on Twitter and somehow managed to to get Reiner Knizia to judge a 'Best Bow Tie' competition on the night ! Not only that but the person judged to have the best (and this wont be easy as Reiner is well known for loving a good Bow Tie ) will be sent a Bow Tie by the man himself !!!! Imagine the kudos next year at Birmingham when your sporting a Bow Tie given to you by Reiner............once in a lifetime opportunity !!

Seriously No Avalon?
I'm all in favour of the event which seems great but i'd still like to play Avalon.
Any other takers for a 10pm game as usual?

I thought Jamie would be the first to bite?
Yes there is no rule stating you cant play other games but whether you will get a group together is unknown... winning a prize in the kniziathon seems to rely on playing as many different Knizia games as you can. I presume Jon will run this until 11pm.

I can recommend Patriot Games and John Lewis for meeting your requirements.

Yes, me, I *always* want to play Avalon.
I think I've only ever played one Knizia game, Tigress and Euphrates I think it was, on iPad; and it didn't really appeal to me. I'm not so fussed about winning a prize, the best possible prize for my money, would probably be playing Avalon...
Re: Tuesday 28th July - KNIZIATHON
I have Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, and a print and play Decathlon
I do not have a bowtie. Bonus points if i make one?

I'll bring the co-op confusopoly Star Trek Expeditions, which if played should carry a bonus for being able to figure out how to play it, I reckon I can dig out a bow tie from somewhere too

I'm bringing (and can teach) PALAZZO and PRIESTS OF RA.... see you all at 7pm for some Knizia action!!
Re: Tuesday 28th July - KNIZIATHON
Just in case anyone was wondering, I've been working very hard today and not spending my time trying to work out how to tie a bow tie. Just so that's clear...
Re: Tuesday 28th July - KNIZIATHON
That's dedication to work right there. It should be reflected in your annual review. I too have been working very hard and not done anything craft/design/fashion based since at least... well... forever...
Re: Tuesday 28th July - KNIZIATHON
I feel I'm going to be somewhat under-dressed this evening...

Re: Tuesday 28th July - KNIZIATHON
Work's gone somewhat "foom" on me. Not sure when I'll get out but I'll definitely be there late, if at all.
