Nope. Looks a bit like Eclipse though. Do you have it?

I have, I used to own it.
It was fun but, to me, it seemed the game designers gave up half way through. They had the makings of a great game but there were so many annoyances with the gameplay that I sold it.

Supposedly a bit closer to TI3 in gameplay, but the length of Eclipse. Someone had it on the geekmarket for £25+5 unplayed, so thought it was worth trying for that.

They've not replied yet, but hopefully will have it at some point.

From what I've read it's the ship movement that's a real pain. Is this what you found?

I can't remember the specific problems, just the overwhelming sense of annoyance. If you can overlook the glaring lack of attention to detail and theme the game itself  was quite good fun.

DaveB,  Lizzy,  can you add anything?

Cor that's going back a bit now. I remember thinking that it all felt a bit cheap which was odd as I remember the game being quite expensive to actually buy. I don't remember *disliking* the game but I've never been fussed about playing it again either, and seem to recall egging you on when you started talking about selling it. I've got a vague memory of thinking it was unnecessarily complicated as far as the tech tree was concerned and the rulebook was badly written and ridiculously dense...

I recall I quite liked the tech tree Smile

I do remember being annoyed that despite having 2 ships of each class, you only had one ship board making it really hard to differentiate between what/who was in which ship.

I think it had the makings of a really great game, but would (in my opinion) need some house rules and since I intensely dislike house rules I gave it the boot.

Yes, I'm getting the first edition and I've read the component quality is horrendous.
At least I like house rules!

We had a long discussion about it on the forum somewhere. Otherwise I don't remember much about it.

Except that I won ;-)
