Space Empires 4X

Has anyone played (or even better, own a copy of) Space Empires 4X? (https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/84419/space-empires-4x) Really want to play it...

Been thinking about buying it - I do have Talon (https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/145976/talon) which can be linked to it to play out the actual battles.

Talon looks interesting, I notice it's by the same designer and publisher (and only published in 2016); I'd certainly be interested in playing it if you're on the lookout for players!

I'd be happy to bring it along sometime - or meet up to play.

It's pretty straightforward, I taught my wife to play in about 15 mins and she then proceeded to beat me quite handily. You can probably do a game in 60mins or less depending on the number of ships. I guess it'd work multi-player - with teams on each side as well.

Happy to wait until you can make a Tuesday evening; we usually have a thread per session where people arrange games to play, probably worth posting in the thread for the Tuesday you can make. Hope that makes sense!?

Also, we have a smaller meeting every first Sunday, upstairs in the Red Deer, I'll be there today around 2pm.  A bit short notice, but you're more than welcome to pop along.

Cheers, Red Deer today is a bit short notice as you say (1st Sunday?? this is the 3rd) - I'll probably be around at Univ Arms at the end of May/beginning of June.

In the meantime this youtune vid (https://boardgamegeek.com/video/93186/talon/talon-rules-10-minutes) covers how to play the basic game (without missiles, fighters, bases & terrain) pretty well - the bits that are left out don't take much to learn either.

Yes, it's the 3rd Sunday today, for some reason, I thought we were on 1st; a bit of a brain malfunction on my part!
