More games happening!
My revised plan:

Play some games!


FYI, there have been some suggestions made that we could make things easier for newcomers sometimes. (I might have scared someone by showing them Tzolk'in on Tues). So we'll try a few things.
You might have noticed we're planning on having some more fillers available. (Our shopping list is going to the board game expo). Will also have an email sign up sheet available from this Tues, so people can sign up for email updates. If you check the forum regularly you won't need to sign up, but feel free if you like extra reminders!

Okay, this has been suggested to me...

Let's play Avalon (and possibly other shorter hidden role games, ONUW, ONR, etc), earlier in the evening, from 7:15 say...

Not sure how many would be interested, but I'll start a sign-up list, just incase there's interest, looking for 7 players...

Also, want to get an Avalon Thursday thing going, maybe first Thursday of the month type thing, stay tuned for more details...


UPDATE - Okay, I'm not convinced I'll find enough players on here, for this. I'll leave it while Tuesday morning, and if there's not enough sign-ups, will have to knock it on the head (cancel). We can always play Avalon later on in the evening.

Cook a big meal / pot of something tasty on Sun/Mon so that dinner on Tues is just a reheat job. And/Or do something practical and helpful this weekend to earn brownie points.
Bgg lists both as 5 player. Believe it's correct with prodigals at least, even if it is spouting garbage about that filler of yours.

It did look impressive though. I usually have a few shorter games with me and I don't usually plan to play anything (usually just in case I can't make it at the last minute) so if you spot anyone wandering round who you don't recognise send them my way.

Think I'll turn up without a plan. I'll pack Archipelago (would play short duration game only) and a bunch of smaller and hidden role games ... and play it by ear. Happy to give Memoir 44 a whirl ... or even give the other Sam another thrashing at Roll for the Galaxy *ducks for cover* (truth be told, I did have a small degree of help in that game)...

Yes, one last test of Path to Panic before UKGE.  I think the pieces will be a mix of Expo-ready bits and leftover bits from the earlier prototype.  Frantically trying to get everything ready.

Totally up for Avalon. Also, Avalon Thursday

Was planning to head down to say hello tomorrow evening. I'm happy to bring anything along anything from my collection if people fancy Talon, Thunder Alley etc etc - otherwise I'll just head down and see what's going on.

As someone new to the club and to board games I would appreciate this greatly. I would much prefer to play shorter games, so I can play many different games to find out what I like and dislike! Also, I will be about tonight, and are down for everything.

I've revised my plan above. Looks like lots of people about and flexible. Still planning on playing one or two fillers and then something a bit heavier. I've got Roll/Race for the Galaxy with me. Happy to run through a few iterations of one or both of those with people.

Another option is that the club copy of Agricola is one of several games now available every week at the club and I'd quite like to get a few games going - we can increase the difficulty over successive weeks. Don't let the theme put you off - it's a great game.

One thing I'd note for new/ish people is that on weeks (unlike this one) where people are super-organised, getting there early or on time often makes it easier to join in. This week, some people have specifically said they'll be arriving late and looking for games - so it shouldn't be any issue. Some weeks, if you turn up at 20 past, everyone can be into their first game already (I've ended up playing Star Realms on my phone for half an hour before because of this - good app!). Hopefully having some more fillers about at the start will help a bit with this.
As I said above, I'll bring a sign up sheet for info emails, designed for those who don't regularly check this forum. (I'm now visualising a Venn diagram showing 'people reading this information on forum' and 'people for whom this information is useful'.)

I'll be bringing Kodama, Biblios, and the club's copy of Formula D (I don't want to play this, though).
