We thought it'd be nice to do a secret santa within the club. Cap of £15, there are lots of decent enough card games in that bracket if you don't happen to know the person you get given.
Let me know if you want in and I'll add your name to the list above. I'll go round on Tuesday 24th in case anyone else wants to join and then get everyone to pick a name out of a hat. Bring your presents along to the Christmas party with your recipient clearly labelled and I'll put them in a sack for distribution.
Happy Santaring!

On a more serious note are we aiming to fulfill this by the Xmas party?

Ah but with Paul's suggestion you won't know who got you - with your method you would - unless you would have an uninvolved individual do the draw?
Re: Secret Santa
Also be good to get names by Black Friday* so we can possibly get some good deals! Gameslore had Aquasphere for £15 yesterday!
*And yes I hate that [we] have adopted this crazy American thing - but hey a bargain is a bargain right*

Not unless you accept that someone might draw their own name?

Yeah, if people get their recipient on the 24th, they've got three weeks to buy a present for them. Should be long enough. Then we can give them out at the party as, hopefully, everyone will be there.
As long as people put the name of the recipient on the package they can all go in a black bag and be given out in secret.

Ah, I assumed Lizzie was planning on drawing for everyone. Walking around with all the names in the hat makes sense too - assuming everyone involved is there at the same time...
Re: Secret Santa
If you get your own name you put it back and draw another one.
I won't know who drew my name any more than who anyone else drew.
The only problem is if the last person to draw gets their own name. Then we'd have to start again.

Yes, I'd probably have to draw for anyone who's not there next week. And check they don't get their own name, but I can probably get someone random to check that for me.

Someone so has to wear a Santa suit to give them out...

I'm not involved so I'm happy to draw names and make sure it all works if needed. I can dodo dress as Santa and give out the presents
