Christmas Meal 2012 Empty Christmas Meal 2012

Tis the season to be silly - tra-la-la-la-lar, la-la, la--lar

I spoke to the guy at the 3 Cranes last night and they can do a Christmas buffet/party... it would consist of some kind of Turkey roast to slice, roast potatoes, salads, kids stuff etc... Cost is worked out once they know what we want and stuff...but he mentioned around £7 per head as a rough figure. Seems pretty cheap...

So I guess we need to decide what and when (or even if) we want to do something...

Would people prefer this kind of Buffet style or a proper sit down meal in a different pub? The former has the advantage that we would be supporting our host and sounds like we could make it a family event... bring the kids, maybe some party/family games to play during/after the buffet? So cast your vote in the poll... if you choose the latter please make a suitable recommendation of pub below...

Once we have decided we can organise the date... In december we would normally meet on tue 11th. This would be the only meet in December so we might be best slotting in either side? So either 4th/18th... again Tuesdays. If people want kids there they might prefer a weekend? Lets open the thread for discussion...

Sounds a good idea Aneurin and I definitely want to support The Three Cranes. Best venue we've ever had.

Yes I like the family friendly option.... happy to go to the 3 Cranes to support the venue.... be interested to hear what the Vegetarian option will be!! Very Happy A Saturday would be preferable for me personally.... (but actually - the Tuesday could be ok as well...)

Other than thinking supporting our host is a good idea, I don't have anything to add other than I'd be keen to come along to whatever is organised.

Happy to head down to The Three Cranes, but as a veggie would like to see something other than turkey! I've been to a few too many buffets where I've had to leave early and find a chippy! Very Happy
