13th December - last meet before Christmas and then into 2012

We used the first floor room last night and it went well, so I will get the Riverside to book that room for us every Tuersday fortnight from now on.

Next meeting will be Tue 13th Dec, and then Tue 10th Jan and then every fortnight until......

Oops, just realised that I can't make this Tuesday as it's daughter's school show that afternoon. I have asked the pub that we have the first floor room (but got no reply yet), so just barge into it when you arrive.

On a different topic - we're looking to play Struggle of Empires in Clive's Shed this Friday. Give us a PM if you're interested.

Can't make struggles of empire Mike... I'm taking the kids to see their grand-parents for an Xmas treat - Santa on a steam train.

Wouldn't mind playing at some point though. Keep me informed of any future games.

Was the first floor room OK for you last night ? I ask because I had emailed to book it and never got a reply from Riverside. But if all has gone to plan we now have that room for all our Tuesday sessions in 2012.

Yes we were in the upstairs room (well it was free so we parked there)... they had even fixed the white lights (which was much better) and cleaned up. Did you organise for the party/welcoming balloons? Such a kind gesture

It was cold up there but the beer kept us warm. Morgan, Tom, Ian, Clive and myself arrived late, so while Craig, Marc, Mark and Steve played Assyria 4 of us tried Oregon. Then we all joined up to play saboteur. A great little card game.

Thanks to everyone for a great last night before Christmas. I enjoyed Saboteur so much that I have bought the sequel, Saboteur 2, when I got home. This will allow us to play up to 12 and allows the miners to play in two teams, with only the first team to reach the treasure claiming the prize. Of course, you won't know who on your team is a saboteur. Oh, and you can switch roles! Sounds messy! Plus lots more action cards.
