Sam asked for Cosmic Encounter last week so I'll be bring that and the first expansion. It takes a bit of time to get into but I think it's worth playing a couple times at once.
Anyone wanna play? What's everyone else playing?

If anyone wants to play Cosmic Encounter, I would encourage you to scan the rules if you get a chance to speed things up. It's not extremely complicated but easier if you have the basics down.

Ill be down this Tuesday. No preference in terms of games to play. I can bring some classics. Didn't someone want to try Pandemic again? will bring it. Actually i remember now saying I would teach Jon Tigris & Eurphrates - if he is down. I love that game...

I'm happy to play cosmic. Played it a number of times. Also wouldn't mind playing tigris and euphrates in real life. My only experience of it so far is having the AI on the app kick my ass over and over and over....

Can bring something if there's anything in the collection people want a go at.

Cheers Kes. I've gone through the rulebook for Cosmic Encounter and I think I get it. One of the variants is a shorter four planets game (start with four planets and sixteen ships, only four foreign colonies needed to win). If there are more newbs than veterans, perhaps that might be an option for a first game to get the rules learnt.

OK. I'll bring Thurn and Taxis this week. I think I'd prefer that over Tigris and Euphrate's. I enjoyed but just got hammered.

How long is Thurn and Taxes? Can we get both played if we start just after 7pm? Tigris is only 1.5-2 hours... if you are all beginners...

It's 1 hour. But prob add 10 mins for explaining the rules.

Planning to come down but a long weekend at a festival plus early start tomorrow may mean I fall asleep at my desk and need an early night.

I'd be up for some cosmic encounter. though dont really have time for rules reading. was thinking o buying the game, so will be good to give it anotehr shot.

We should be there about 7. Don't mind what we play, we've both played Cosmic Encounter before but it was a while back now. Tigris would also be good if there's space, not played that before.

I've got K2 with me again as a few people seemed interested last week. I've even played a solo game so think I've figured out the rules now. Also got Libertalia with me again.

I've managed to stay awake and will be down about 7:15 with a couple of games.

I enjoyed card game night but I really need to work on my Resistance poker face, or avoid eye contact with Dave.
