movies and games to board games

ive seen lately a lot of people are cashing in on the board game market. There's the walking dead and bio shock game, a few terry pratch also.
was wondering if any one has played a game that seemed to be a success.

Spartacus is great. The Hobbit released for the movie launch last year is total crap. Can't think of others I've played

The Ankh Morpork discworld game is pretty fun, but I've not played any of the others.

I have hopes for Firefly too...

It's based more on the book though. There are a bunch of good LOTR games but based more on the book as well
