I'm certainly hoping to be there! I see it as a good opportunity to play some longer games. I might have Through The Ages by then or, failing that, would be up for someone teaching me to play Game Of Thrones :-). And I'd like to get some more Firefly in too...

Would there be any interest in either Sword of Rome or A Distant Plain? (Or maybe Fire In The Lake if its made it to the UK by then..)

I'm hoping I haven't got any plans and will be able to head down for at least a few hours. How is the Red Deer for table sizes, do we need some boards?

Unfortunately I'm away with work that weekend. Hope it goes well though!

Kinda, small pub tables that could fit a small game or a medium pushed together.
I might actually have Xia: Legends of a Drift System by then. I've been waiting about a year and half since kickstarting it so hopefully it's good.

I'm certainly happy to give any of those a try, though I must say my wargame experience is pretty limited (more or less to Twilight Struggle, which I did enjoy on the couple of occasions I've played it). But if you don't mind a newbie having a go then I'd be happy to try and stretch my brain around one or more of the above!

How late do you think this will go? I'll be working till 6 but would like to pop down after if people think they'll still be about.

Brilliant. The more newbies the better.

Re: Sunday Session: October 5th @ The Red Deer
Hi guys just signed up, I live in Sheffield and fancied going along to a board games club sometime.
I play board games with housemates but I know im into them more than they are . I like playing strategy games such as Agricola, Caverna, Civilization, Puerto Rico (yes all fairly long, complex games!), but would be happy to try other types of games too. How do these evenings usually work, are the games decided beforehand? I can definitely bring down one of mine sometime if people want to try it. I might be able to come down on a sunday, but tuesday evenings would usually be better for me.

Hi, Sounds like you will fit right in. Yes just pop along and start playing. Usually a thread is started (weekend/Monday) where people make game requests for the Tuesday but that being said it's usually pretty dynamic and different games get played anyway! Yes people bring their own games - you have some classics in that list so sure they will be popular. You can list all your games in the Library thread. See you Tuesday!

If I can make this then I would be up for Through The Ages and can bring my copy with me.

I'm gonna bring Xia and Firefly. Very similar games. I'll also bring RoboRally because I just bought it and will chuck in a couple regulars.
Re: Sunday Session: October 5th @ The Red Deer
I'm heading over shortly with two bags full of games. Looking forward to a Sunday games afternoon!
