We are also headed down early Thursday afternoon if needed
Re: UK Games Expo 2017 (2-4 June 2017, Birmingham)
Paul and Dave,
Thank you very much both of you for the offer of a Thursday afternoon lift. I'm happy to go with whoever would find it most convenient. Just let me know who and what time and where you want me to be, please!
Thanks again,
Andy

Well I'll be working Thursday morning so I'll be in the city centre, but can get wherever from there, pretty much.

I'll pick you up. Say 13.30 in the town centre wherever I can park that's convenient for you? Maybe outside Crucible stage door?Andy S wrote:Well I'll be working Thursday morning so I'll be in the city centre, but can get wherever from there, pretty much.

UKGE app now live, for iOS at least but I assume android too. Just checking it out but looks fairly useful on first blush

That sounds perfect, Paul, as long as it's not too awkward for you. Thanks so much.
What is the purpose of the app? Just a map and a schedule?

Lift share
paulyg wrote:Allow me to once again be the person that starts a very early thread about this. Because entry tickets go on sale today (at some point, they're not available yet).
So who's coming, which days, who needs a lift, etc? I'll be going from Thursday afternoon to Sunday afternoon again next year.
Also, I'll reproduce an email from UKGE below which talks about hotel space and drops a few other interesting hints. It sounds like the NEC hall from this year will actually be fully used next year (there was quite a bit of space behind the barriers this year) and they've got a separate hall for tournaments and more gaming which will be open until 11pm. They've also secured gaming space at other nearby hotels.
Hi all,
i'm also managing to come to Games Expo from Scotland. I'll be stopping by in sheffield the night before and planning to go Thursday afternoon. Paul, by any chance you have space in your car for Thursday? Would appriciate it.
Regards,
Adam

Be great to see you again Adam, it's been far too long
Re: UK Games Expo 2017 (2-4 June 2017, Birmingham)
I'm not going this year so have a great time everyone!
I'll be scowling from my desk at those being picked up outside the Crucible. May even indulge in some fist shaking.

Don't close any car parks while we are gone
Re: UK Games Expo 2017 (2-4 June 2017, Birmingham)
What is the latest time anyone is leaving Birmingham on Sunday? I'm trying to cadge a cheeky lift (will pay petrol money) sometime after 6pm if that's possible for anyone. Thanks!

I picked up Magic Maze, Crazy Coconuts, Kingdomio and an expansion for Neuroshima Hex...
Also some walking dead miniatures scenery... now that's a game you should enjoy.
