I know it's ages away, but trying to arrange the next round of Mechs vs Minions is torturous!

Risk Legacy was a strange one, Jamie absolutely romped to victory and I was surprised he didn't do so in turn one. The blame lies almost entirely with Sam who played such an uncharacteristically ill-considered series of moves that makes me suspicious of conspiracy between the two players formerly without a victory. I'm on to you.

Port Royal is a fun tableau-building, push your luck card game, which I'd never played from the club library. It's good!

I played my first game of Chess in about 10 years against Jamie and was soundly beaten. I loved the game as a kid and would like to play more.

I'm warming to Risk Legacy now, really liking how the game is evolving; and of course, getting to write your name on the board doesn't hurt! Your turn next Sam!

Enjoyed playing Chess too; played three games, gave Karl and James a lesson then got schooled by Samuel! Well played everyone, really enjoyed it.

Wrong! It was clearly only one particularly ill-considered move. On the first turn. And that was pretty much the game for me. I walked half an hour to the Uni Arms and half an hour back again to make that move.

Port Royal was really good, though. It's easy to care about what other players are doing on their turn, because you all get to scrap over their leftovers. Also, it's really funny when somebody goes bust when they had perfectly good cards to choose from. Or when they don't, and get two matching pirates on their first two draws. Fun stuff.

Thoroughly enjoyed getting back into "Mechs Vs Minions" again on Tuesday. Almost had to learn to play again as its been so long, but had a really fun time with it. Completed three more missions, some of which went to the very knife-edge of failure before we prevailed. Good times!
