I'd be happy to help teach with you. I think I know the rules well enough after playing it.
I think thats what I like about the game. There is no clear strategy and the fact that you have 3!, 3!, 3! choices of tradesmen for the 3 buildings and then the randomised event deck means no two games are gonna play the same.
The thing that confused us is why they bothered with the bottom section of the board where the event cards go? We wondered what happened when we got more than 6 events in play... then read in the rules that the event area has no limit.

This hasn't been booked yet so could move I guess if more people can make the 13th... Nat and I can make either just need to know so I can book the grandparents in for baby sitting!

yes they replied at weekend, booking provisionally made for 6th, they need £5 per head deposit that I'll pay when numbers firmed up.
I can;t make the following week but I'll fall on my sword if it's better for everyone lese
