So it was you that cursed us to 4 hours of Doomtown for 1 game - and people say TI3 is a long game - really enjoyed it though... be interesting to see what the expansions will add... normally LCG (or at least the ones I have) introduce new missions and stuff... I can't quite see what, other than new factions and extra cards for exisiting factions they could add to Doomtown to warrant an expansion every 6 months...

Yep, I really do think it could be a great 2-player LCG. Looks like the 'little' expansions are just going to add new cards but the bigger ones will add in extra mechanics. I think there's the possibility of expanding the role of 'jobs' (which none of us attempted last night) to perhaps be more Firefly-like. But I guess we'll see!

Yeah one of my deputies could do a job on a private deed - my cemetery - but no-one occupied it so I never got the chance... they work pretty similar to the shoot-outs though right? Form Posse, draw cards, get the highest hand?

Yep, absolutely. Currently very similar to shootouts but with potentially different benefits (e.g. I had kidnapping which allows you to get rid of a specific dude, I imagine there are bank jobs etc. as well). But I don't see any reason why they couldn't introduce more complex jobs or multi-stage missions in a future expansion that you could play to get more significant rewards.
