John's games old and new
Newish to the club and yet to come to a meet so apologies for that. The lists of games for some are quite intimidating and note that not many list the obvious Cluedo and Monopoly
Tried out a few new games over the Christmas period and a few friends and I meet up in the Dinnington area every now and again.
New games bought recently and enjoyed:
Quirkle
King of Tokyo
Scotland Yard
Picturika
Think words
Labyrinth
and some classics I have
Buccaneer (original and Pirates of Caribbean version)
Skirrid
James Bond 007 game (1960's)
World Formula Grand Prix
Motorway
Great Game of Britain
Othello
Cranium and expansion pack
Risk
Upwords
Easy Money
Game of Life
Top Gear
Tri-ominoes
Game of Life
Cluedo
Scrabble
Monopoly
Continuo
Dice Based Games
Perudo
Pass the Pigs
Yahtzee
and DVD based games:
Ad-Mad
Scene it original, Happy Potter and 007
Really would like to own/play:
Settlers of Catan
Ticket to ride
Pitchcar
An eclectic list with many games played and a few unplayed. I will try to get to a meet one Tuesday and see what it's all about

I tried to think of something really Zen in reply to your post. Something about intimidation and big collections starting as small collections... But it's too early to be Zen.
Come down to the club one Tuesday, Pitch Car is a once in a while type game, but there's usually a copy of Catan or TTR knocking about and a bunch of people happy to play them (or something else).

Hi Paul.
Cheers, I have been avidly looking for some new games 'Castles of Burgundy' looks like it may enter my collection, and it appears like many others that charity shops are a great place to pick up some oddball ones. I will attempt to make a Sheffield meet soon and see what it's all about

I'm always happy to play either of Catan or TTR; I have both, including some expansions. Let us know when you're coming down and I'll bring them.

Thanks for that. I played the online version of TTR and enjoyed that. I will see which Tuesday I can get off a bit early to make it down to Sheffield Village and let you know.

If Tuesdays are difficult we've recently started doing a monthly Sunday meet, and there is oftentimes a bunch of ad-hoc sessions getting set up too
Welcome to the club! be warned, its a slippery slope!
