Tuesday 26th May
On Tuesday the 26th May the Empire will rise and crush the rebel scum gathering on Da'taleb in the Rouge'hauz system.

Re: Tuesday 26th May
Stone age is a brilliant worker placement game. So want to play. Maybe in June... along with Caverna, Dominant Species, Agricola with Farmers of the Moor... man so many great games in our Hobby. Picked up Mice and Mystics yesterday.

I've got to agree with that...Kes wrote:Yeah, we're gonna win though
I'll bring the cash for the club clothing that Kat & I ordered. Looking forward to seeing it!
Re: Tuesday 26th May
Oh... apparently I'm camping next week. So won't be able to play Quantum or Stone Age.

Not a bother, I'll bring a couple of little filler games down in case nothing else transpires....

Isn't Avalon a co-op game? Maybe more of a team game? For me, I find Avalon engages your creativity and individuality, a lot more than your typical co-op game.
Anyhow, generally, I do hate them. I like to live and die by my own choices, my own decisions deciding my fate. The thing with co-op games, is you often get a more experienced player, who just directs the less experienced around. So the less experienced players just feel like puppets, and aren't really making any meaningful decisions.
They're probably a lot more fun, if everyone is similarity experienced; but even then, I guess working together, with other players, to overcome some big bad NPC's or impending doom; just doesn't appeal to me, as much as fighting it out with other players.
Shadows Over Camelot, is okay, because there's a traitor aspect to it. Didn't like Pandemic at all. Not so keen on Dead of Winter (even though there's a traitor) either.
Mice and Mystics does look fun though, maybe it would work better if you can accidentally attack the other mice? The theme looks totally cool though; mice and, presumably, spell casting magical mice!
Having said all that; I used to play AD&D and other RPG's a lot as a kid, and I can't remember having these issues back then.

I have discovered that I can't be down until 19.45, if you can wait - awesome, if not - no bother, I can play something else!

Re: Tuesday 26th May
I seem to have three versions of Love Letter; Tempest, Legend of the Five Rings and Batman. Not quite sure how that happened. I'll pop them in the bag along with whatever else I'm bringing.
As usual there's about 20 games I want to bring along and play but I'll end up bringing along two or three and not playing any of them. Maybe this weeks games will be Space Alert and Tigris & Euphrates in case anyone fancies being shouted at by a computer and exploding and/or recreating the dawn of civilisation via vicious, brain-twisty, rival-stomping, tile-laying cleverness. I'm also happy to bring Five Tribes along again if there's a demand for it. It is probably my favourite game of the last couple of years.

There's an expansion? Well that's going on the list of things to look out for in Birmingham.
