X-Wing tournaments

As a fair few of you probably know, Lizzy and I have been playing x-wing for a while now and play pretty competitively at tournaments fairly regularly. These tournaments are great fun and teach you a lot about the game very quickly. I know a few people have played xwing at the club a bit and just wanted to throw out there that if anyone would fancy coming along sometime, we can sort out a squad and do a couple practise sessions beforehand, so you'll stand a chance. I always drive anyway and many places provide decent prize support.
Tournaments are usually about £10 and they really are a decent day out if you can wrangle the time.

Is it something anyone is interested in?

I still like xwing but can't afford to keep investing in both games... So that will have to become my casual Star Wars game... Saying that I do want the raider - but only to make the advanced better... Damn you FFG and your clever marketing/selling strategy.

You certainly don't need any additional investment to be competitive at a tournament.
I will look out for imperial assault tournaments though, need to play more skirmish though

Well maybe I just need more practise then... Don't think I've won a game in a very long time.

There aren't many IA events on facebook... found one in Derby... but its the same one I did at Patriot - I don't need two rebel medals . Need some stores that do credit... like the X-wing ones...
