I'm gonna bring trickerion as well so could get up to 8 playing it, really great game. I think a friend is joining me next week so that's already two in for it

Excellent! It looks like DaveB wants me to wait until the new year for the Trickerion game, so I'll bring the other two.

After an epic session yesterday including a 4 hour game of Trickerion (damn Andy's AP), Myself and Sam have decided to play a scenario of Descent 2nd edition. I'm happy to play overlord, but als happy to play a hero. The scenario will be from one of the hero and villain packs and we'll play two missions with the same character set - more of a taster session, but could lead to a full campaign if anyone fancies it!

I really like it, there is a lot to think about and Mrs Moulster isn't as keen on really deep games although I think she didn't like it because she lost. Andy is pretty AP which slowed the game considerably but the way it builds up is great, really enjoyable. I think Sam liked it and the more you play the better I think it'll get once you know the trick cards, powers and assignment cards. I gave it a 9/10 but a lot of that is due to the theme being so strong and well linked in the game and also my love of magic (not the gathering) helps too.
I want to play this one a few times to really see how well it works and how long it really takes now we know the game too. Will be playing after the break when Paul brings it

Is "fast eclipse" egg timer based?

Hi Dave,

I'll bring both!

Fast Eclipse, is just as cool as regular Eclipse, but played with people who know the game; should be plenty of time to get a game in, starting from 7. I've done further optimisations to the game too, so setup time is quicker.

As for Archipelago; I've only played it twice, both times with Dale teaching the game. It's pretty cool, a bit like Eclipse but you're exploring, colonising a newly discovered Archipelago, and trying not to piss off the natives!

Happy to play either; maybe a slight preference for Archipelago, as it's unplayed.

Anyhow, I'll turn up just before 7 and nab a table.

Cool. I've played Arci it's very good.

Don't mind what we play though - i'll be there at 7ish too
