Mechs versus Minions has an interesting disconnect between box size and weight... I don't know any other games that are so heavy yet so light.

Sam - I can bring Academy on the off hence we are both available at a similar time. Have you read the rules?

I'm playing Mechs at the weekend so I won't hog a space in your game Paul. But if you end up playing Great Western Trail instead i'd like a go at that.

Otherwise I've brought my other black Friday game Shitenno and King of Tokyo with me, just cos I haven't played it for ages

I've lost the plot a bit with this thread! However, I'll happily jump in on a game of either great western trail or mech v minions, whichever is on the table.

I haven't read up on the GWT rules yet, so I'm not confident in teaching it... that said, I don't really fancy lumping MvsM along if it's not going to get played... Oooh, quandaries...

Aneurin is bringing the El Grande big box, but there are no spaces left at the table.
New Angeles won't be played as Kat has hurt her ankle.
Catan: Cities & Knights won't be played as Kes forgot what day it was.

Many players now find themselves without a game.

Psychomansam might play Tzolk'in, and doesn't know the difference between light and heavy.

Sam can't decide what to play.

I will bring Mechs vs Minions to play with DaveB and two other lucky people. You in?

I'm utterly new, been looking for something like this in Sheffield for a while though!

Never heard of half(all) of these games but sounds great, is it worth me just coming along and watching and picking things up!?

Like Liz says, come along and jump into something. People do sometimes turn up later on, but it's always best to make it for 7, just in case everyone jumps into a 2 hour game from 7 and you get left with a long wait.

Didn't even realise we were on tonight, thought the venue was closed! Think I must have got it mixed up with the date we missed last week. Anyhow, I've not signed up for anything; is there any room left in anything? Failing that, would anyone (who can bring a set) like to play chess?

EDIT: Oh no, total chaos! Apart from Paul's post of clarity, it's really unclear what's going on this week. Think I'll just pop a few games in my bag and take pot luck.

You know Jen, I had a feeling it might have been closed; not sure if something was mentioned about it before (sometime in 2016). So, yeah, Red Deer seems a good candidate for an alternative.
