Tuesday 19th - venue

Dear all, in Craig's absence I have been trying to call the Three Cranes all weekend. The number on the website is going to answer phone all the time - not getting through on a Friday/Saturday night isn't a great sign that the place is still in business.

However, it could still be open, new number, so busy they can't answer the phone or that the guys are on Holiday?!? Long shot perhaps but until we know more let's presume it will be open on Tuesday and meet there at 7pm onwards - if it is shut when you arrive move onto Patriot Games. They kindly put us up last week. I spoke to the owners and they are more than happy to house us (no charge). The room we use is downstairs. Parking is the main problem...

Ill be there from 8pm. With zombicide again

Anyway, our boards are still at the 3 Cranes so we have a vested interest to get hold of the landlord!

I guess we ought to start a discussion regarding a new venue...

I work just around the corner from Three Cranes - shall I call in today at lunch and/or after work to see if there's any signs of life and find out what I can?

Otherwise, I'm happy to meet at Patriot and quite fancy playing Zombicide or either of the new club games if Craig's there.

As for new venue, have you ever tried either the Dog & Partridge or The Grapes on Trippett Lane?

If you can that would be brilliant - although looking at the 3 Cranes facebook site it was also shut last Monday... so I'm not holding out much hope.

Do they have good function rooms? I've been in them before but only in the main bars... with my really scary ex!

I work literally round the corner from Patriot Games... don't suppose anyone's going early are they, as it'd be a lot easier for me to go straight there from work than go home across town twice in-between

I'll be checking 3 Cranes at lunch time today but its not looking hopeful. I'll post again this afternoon.

Suspect we will be at Patriot tonight, however.

And I'll bring the new games, along with Lords of Waterdeep.
