Is this still happening? Is there a spot available?

Chris

( I was the Wookie in our Imperial Assault game in case you don't remember me haha)

I got instantly tempted away by 504 instead. I'll be bringing Samurai along and you're welcome to have a go with it, although I may not get round to playing it myself.

Okay no probs, yeah I might if someone else fancies a game. I've never played before but I was thinking of picking it up. I'm a sucker for a Samurai.

Played two different games and I'm sold - the two different games were so different in the way it played and how to win, really enjoyed them both. I still need to play more of the different games and work out what combinations are good.
The best thing about 123 is that the rules are written out in full, every other has conditional logic to work out how to play, what to use and what order to take the actions.

The main downsides are that finding the correct pieces is a bit of a nightmare and working out the different rules systems will also be an issue - certainly a game I want to continue playing. one thing I want to try is taking three modules and playing all 6 variations only using those.

The table certainly seemed very happy with it when I stopped by and it looked like they were playing a very interesting game! I'd be up for trying some of the other combos some time.

Yeah the version we played was fun - it's gonna take me time to get my head round, but certainly up for the challenge, trying to do 72 games in a year, by then I should understand it!

The game we played was fun. It was more fiddly to set up and understand at first due than it would have been if it had developed as that single game rather than the modular craziness (why are we putting our dudes on each city again?) but when we got into it it was a fairly light, quick game, with some interesting decisions to be made and a little bit of interaction. I can't really begin to judge the whole package without playing some different modules, I think.

I came away from the pub with a nice water bottle which someone had left under a chair. It's mine now.

(Unless of course someone wants me to give it back, in which case let me know)
