Tuesday 20th September
I'm hoping to have picked up my copy of Pandemic: Reign of Cthulu by Tuesday. It plays 4, anyone fancy it?
This assumes I haven't agreed to something already!

I'll try that, Karl. I might finally read some Lovecraft to get myself in character. Anyone have any suggestions?

Sweet. Also, worth checking out Spheres of Influence, if you like Risk 2210ad, you'll love it...

There's a thread comparing the two...

Happy to bring it along sometime.

Sam, I have a Lovecraft collection which I'd be happy to lend you (doesn't help you get in to character ahead of then, mind). It's a couple of years since I read it but I recall 'The Call of Cthulu', 'The Dunwich Horror' and 'The Shadow over Innsmouth' being good ones to introduce the mythology.

Done!
Picked it up yesterday from Patriot and had a read of the rules this morning. It looks fun, a different take on Pandemic and the theme looks well incorporated.

Cheers for the offer Karl, though I found that all his stories are available at hplovecraft.com anyway:
http://www.hplovecraft.com/writings/fiction/publish.aspx
As is the rest of his writing (poetry, letters, criticism etc), which apparently some fans find just an fascinating:

I've read Call of Cthulhu so far, and have just opened The Rats in the Walls.

I'm going to have to drop out from GoL tomorrow as I won't be there - work is conspiring against me this week.

I'm in the mood for some lighter games - sign me up! I'll bring a few other games along too
EDIT: Given it's International Talk Like a Pirate day I shall sling Black Fleet in my bag for a start!

I'll join you for Colt Express too please - I can bring the Horses & Stagecoach expansion too, if you like.
Black Fleet looks fun too - Talk Like a Pirate day has revealed a disturbing lack of pirate-themed games in my collection though, the closest I can do is Perudo. I might have to rectify this.

Re: Tuesday 20th September
Hey everyone, I'm new here and am going to come along tomorrow for the first time. Is it the best thing to sign up for a game in advance? It might be the best thing for me to do as it'll stop me from chickening out of coming along. If you're willing to teach a newbie I'd be up for playing Colt Express!

Welcome to the club! You're welcome to sign up for something here or join something on the night - whichever you prefer
As for Colt Express - I for one would welcome a newbie joining us
Re: Tuesday 20th September
OK, that's 4 so far. Count me in for Black Fleet too, only played that once and it was over a year ago. I don't really mind either way about bringing the expansion for Colt Express, maybe just stick with the base game this time unless other people want to add it in.

Problem will be if anyone else joins our little group - Black Fleet maxes out at four players...
