Nice collection, some interesting games and some I've never even heard of! Geistesblitz?

I'd like to have a go at Strozzi sometime, I've had my eye on it as it looks very pretty and interesting. Also, let me know if you figure out how to play Manhattan project as I've not even read the rules yet!

Geistesblitz is fun, really simple but fiendishly tricky game of picking up objects which match cards. If your brain's wired up the right way it's du great, if not it's frustrating.

I haven't played Strozzi yet but I saw it for £4 in The Works and couldn't resist.

I think I've figured Manhattan Project out, I was planning to bring it down on Tuesday.

Yeah, you can't really refuse at £4, that's a bargain!

If you bring Manhattan Project next week you can count me in, I'm a sucker for that meeple yellow cake.

I got Strozzi in the works sale (£2). Played it once. It's pretty good. Kind of a mixture of worker placement and bidding.

Thought you hated worker placement?

I updated this the other day with a few new additions. The collection has grown considerably from nothing in little over a year! Plus, there's still Christmas to come.

I'd like to try Tsuro, could you bring it along next week? I'm about to decide what christmas present I'll be giving myself, but I want to try them first!

Yeah, of course. We bought it as a gift to ourselves last year and it's had a lot of plays.

2 player only games understandably don't get much of a run out on Tuesdays but having recently bought Jaipur I can thoroughly recommend it. It's a sub-half hour trading game, where you have to buy, trade and sell goods and camels with diminishing rewards and bonuses for selling multiple items.

I've been coveting Jaipur for a while. I'd be happy to give you a game should you bring it to the club one evening.

I've got a bunch of 2-player games I never get to play. Maybe we should have a 2-player only evening!

Think we would need a new venue for that!

We wouldn't need all the big boards though, so could fit more in

More chairs is the problem... we normally use the benches to house quite a few players...

I don't see why it'd be a problem. It's the same number of people and, like Kes said, we could use the small tables. The problem would be enough games if anything. We'd need half as many games as people. I don't know how many people have 2 player games. That said I have 4/5.

Yes but as I said a lot of people are sat at benches and some 2 player games are as big as multi-player games... Twilight Struggle would easily use 3'*3' space... would that be offset by confrontation? Would there be enough space... be interesting to find out...

The other problem is game time... confrontation takes about 30mins, Twilight Struggle 3 hours... so it's going to be difficult to swap and change partners...

I know we all like Kes but 6 games of losing at confrontation to him and I'd be ready to leave Wink

All my 2-player games are small and about 30mins each. I hadn't thought of Twilight Struggle etc, but people have played that before at club and it wasn't a problem. As long as not everyone does that! Two people would just play that all night.

Anyway... should we split this thread or something?

Oh yeah, X-Wing! I have that too (though technically that's Gary's one and only game).

Also, this has reminded me about Claustrophobia, the 2-player only asymmetrical dungeon crawler. Have you played that, Kes? I would have thought you'd really like it.
