God knows I'm certainly happy to play Firefly, its probably my current favorite game Very Happy

If you guys have a chance to flip through the rules, they can be found here. I'll happily do my best to teach you how to play but I have to say explaining games isn't my forte Very Happy

Sounds good! I've flipped through the rules (I own it but haven't had a chance to play yet) so hopefully I can remember the basics... I should be down about 7.

I'd like to get a game of Race for the Galaxy in, but count me in for Firefly.

I recommend we do "King of All Londinium" - it was the training game before they released a much simpler version as a download. It's simpler than the other goal cards and since there will be two new folk playing its probably the best for the evening...

Probably a good idea. First game I played we picked the one where you have to impress Niska, and that made for an interesting learning experience.

I have lost track of who wanted to play Whitechapel, but basically I'll just set it up when I get there and if you want to play then come and find me.

Nothing like jumping in at the deep end! I think we got to that one on my *fourth* game. We played the "proper" training mission of the GF9 site the first time out which taught the mechanics well enough but was a bit on the dull side - not one I'm keen on ever doing again. We've since done Londinium twice (each time inducting new players into the game) and then the Niska one once which I liked, although one of the players got really lucky with his draws and monstered the game (seriously - he had River and Simon on his crew by the end of the first turn and he didn't even start on Persephone)

Karl, Jon. Want to arrange eclipse as an extra curricular? Maybe a Thursday?

I'd like to but don't have a free week until the end of April.

If I did another day I'd probably not do the Tuesday that week. Not that I'm so regular yet that it would be a problem. I'd be up for it to get my eclipse fix.

I thought so. Firefly this week and if you don't mind being Robinson next week. I'm spoilt for choice here.
