Re: UK GAMES EXPO 2015
Karl mentioned planning a meet up on Saturday.... after Lizzy and Kes's X-Wing Championship finishes? - What's the best time for this? - Shall we meet in the open gaming area again like last year?

I'm driving down with three others so if we get a bit happy with the old credit card at the show may need to beg some cargo space home

So I have a small request... As I can't make it... Can someone look out for any Shadows of Brimstone promos for me...
Re: UK GAMES EXPO 2015
I'm sure a few of us will keep an eye out for you.
See y'all at 7:30pm on the Saturday but no doubt we'll all bump in to each other over the weekend. Don't forget to wear your club regalia for the group photo!
Oh and still room in the car if anyone needs a lift there and/or back on Saturday. Sam and I will be leaving Sheffield about 7:15 am so let me know here or via PM.

Just FYI, there is a £10 deposit required to use the games library this weekend.
£10 for a "passport" unlimited games use, deposit will be refunded when you're done.

To be honest I wouldn't be surprised if it did. Always some idiot that screws things up for everyone.
Re: UK GAMES EXPO 2015
Not sure, last year was a free for all, this year it is being run by Thirsty Meeples who have a mobile gaming library which is available to hire for corporate events etc.

Also, I will be acquiring one, others may wish to discuss/agree responsibility.
Mainly, I don't want people surprised when they turn up. £10 is nearly half a game!

That might be it then. Last year they said they'd never had anything ever go missing which I thought was quite impressive.

Well, it's gamers playing games, there ought to be some quotient of respect.

Just a quick name drop, in less than an hour, I may well be playing games with Ignacy Trzewiczek of Portal Games!

Re: UK GAMES EXPO 2015
So everyone is home now I think - hope everyone had as much fun as I did this weekend just done. Spent far too much money but I should be in games now for at least the next week or so...
The one complaint I had is that there was very little open gaming space on Saturday - it had almost all been annexed by the various competitions in play which was very frustrating... Hopefully, this should be better next year as I understand they are moving the expo into the NEC proper so should be more room to play with.
Other than that it was a cracking good time, although my wife was threatening to ban me from taking part in any more demos after playing two and immediately going off to buy the game in question (Black Fleet and Five Tribes).
Roll on next year!

We had a great time. Spent lots of money, met lots of lovely people, even played a game or two. I think we might go again.
