Star Wars - Armada

Ok, that's not really big enough for me now!

I'd give you £18 for the falcon. I don't have one myself and I could do with some of the upgrades. But you're better off selling it all at the expo really, you'd get more.

The whole lot's worth £200 and X-Wing hardly loses any value. Someone would be getting a bargain at £150 let alone £100!

Despite getting back on the fence about this game over the last few days I've got back off now and ordered it.

I'll not be there this Tuesday coming (26th) but I'll bring it along to the next one or maybe to the Sunday session if I can make that.

Almost got it in Wargames Emporium on Wednesday. Opted for Mice and Mystics instead.

I'm afraid I may be forced to buy it at the expo...

You can trade your xwing for armada, Paul. Why would you start collecting a different Star Wars space battle game when you are trying to sell off your old Star Wars space battle game? Just play more xwing

In other Armada related news, I've joined The Outpost's Facebook, find a game group. Has anyone ever bothered with these guys? I'm assuming they meet to play at the Outpost? Has anyone been?

Yeah, Kes and I know some of them from X-Wing tournaments, they're a nice bunch. I don't know if any of them have got in to Armada yet, but it's worth asking. They often play X-Wing on Thursdays so if they're going to play Armada it would be then.

I watched the SUSD let's play of Armada today, it does look pretty cool. Nowhere near as cool as X-Wing though.

I've already seen at least 1 person asking for an Armada game on the page so I should be ok to get the odd game I think. Glad to know they are a decent bunch.

The Shut up Sit down video is great, they had alot of stuff too so it looked epic. I've only seen the Tabletop episode of X-Wing and it did look cool. I'd like to give it a try sometime too if you wouldn't mind bringing it in one week?

Sure, always happy to play X-Wing. Paulyg wants a go so you could be the fourth in a doubles game if you want? We find that's a good way of introducing people to the game.

Alternatively, if you're free next Thursday we could play at The Outpost? I could introduce you to a few people if they're about.

A 2v2 sounds good, I'd be up for that. I'll let you know about next Thursday though, I don't know what I'm up to yet. What time are they open til?

OK, we could do a doubles game on a Tuesday maybe? June 2nd? If I bring my star mat we can play on one of the bigger boards. We could maybe fit Armada in on the same evening?

I think Outpost is open late on Thursdays. Maybe 11? I've only done that once myself. I normally only go there for tournaments.
