Tuesday 15th December - Xmas Party
We are continuing with tradition and having a Christmas party on Tuesday 15th December (from 7pm at the Uni Arms).
The event will include a buffet (Vegetarian friendly - Uni arms catering) and a Pitchcar Competition with various prizes (board games and or related) given out throughout the evening for first, second and third place in the Pitchcar final; best gaming related fancy dress (I'll get the uni arms staff or Tom Vasel to judge this) & others (tbc - ideas welcome).
The cost is £8.
I need to get final numbers to the Uni arms by December 1st. So please state your intention to join in here and give money in advance to Karl or myself who will add your name to the list below. Partners welcome of course.
As well as Pitchcar don't forget there will be plenty of opportunity for other gaming - but it's fun to keep the party game feel to the evening. Jamie will be running 2 rooms and a boom. Karl and myself are working on a festive version of Avalon. I'm sure Kes will be bringing King of Tokyo. Bring a selection ... Eat and have fun...
So far we have 38 people attending...
Attending (& paid) x37
Aneurin, Karl, Lizzy, Gary, Paul G, Kat, Kes, Evan, Steve, Dave B, Sannah, Nick, Jon Boy, Jamie, Scott, Polly, Tom C, Paul C, Andy M, Becky, Nicole, John H, Andy W, American Scott, Suelin, Jen, Tom Y, Dale, Steve M, Sam, Dave W, Psycho Sam, Mike D, Matt, Kirsten, Peter
Attending (not paid yet... Tut tut)... X1

Can this be for any game eg XBox, DS, etc?
How many Merlins are going to show up?

There may be several people claiming that they're definitely not Merlin.

I think the answer to this should be 'yes', if only so that PaulC can come dressed as Mario...TheCat wrote:Aneurin wrote:

There has been at least one Mario-themed boardgame so PaulC is covered regardless of the decision
Re: Tuesday 15th December - Xmas Party
Oh and yeah, confirmed for S and I - have money in my wallet to give you but since neither of us made the club last week...

Consensus says yes... so if I draw a bar code on my neck and shave my head do I win?

Tattoo it rather than draw it and you've got my vote...

I think it should be board games only. Video games is too easy. You gotta be more creative for board games.

At least my alter-ego can singlehandedly carry a hugely successful and much beloved gaming franchise, not seeing many Hodor branded games out there. :-P
