The Club Library - VOTE FOR FILLERS - WITH NEW BONUS VOTES!
Please post with the names of two fillers (~30 mins max). Two games. No more. If you wish to follow the names with rhetoric to convince us plebs, go ahead. If you wish to enter cold votes, go ahead.
NEWS JUST IN!
Due to the combined wisdom of the hive-sam-mind, all voters are now granted ONE additional vote exclusively for a 2 player game.
So three votes total, at least one of which must be for a 2p game.
Here are some suggestions thus far. I will add any suggestions below to this list. This is only a guide. You can vote for any fillers you like!
Solid 2 player considerations:
Battle Line
Hive
Jaipur X
Lost Cities Y
Melee Y (Bgg best with 3-4?)
Patchwork YYYY
Tides of Time
Red 7 Y
Star Realms: Colony Wars
Wings of War: Y
Bettter or only playable with more than 2:
Biblios X
Cash 'n Guns X
Cheaty Mages XX
Codenames XXX
Colt Express (filler?) X
For Sale X
King of Tokyo (filler?) X
Pitch-Car Mini XX
Salem X
Splendor (filler?) XX
Spyfall 2 X
Straw X
Sushi Go XXXXX -no more votes needed here!
Tsuro XX

Sushi Go - dead easy to teach, great intro to the drafting mechanism, lots of interaction, fun
Codenames - I like words.

KoT is longer than 30 mins. Great game though!
I vote Love Letter and Cheaty Mages

It's worth making clear out that Sam is in the process of purchasing some new games for the club library, hence the polling!
I own both already but Hanabi and Sushi Go would be excellent games for the club.

I'll change mine to:
1. Spyfall 2 - presumably it's just more of the same Spyfall, with new cards?
2. Salem - the witches are multiplying and they're coming for you!

Tsuro (1st edition) - Easy game to understand, nice and quick. Good to look at.
PitchCar-Mini - It involves flicking and always gets a good reception. This is the mini version so can be played on a small table

Colt Express plays a little long at around 40min but still might be a good fit
Cash 'n' Guns as another

Not a bad idea! Pity they don't do a 'Flick em up Mini' too!

P.S. I hate the new GUI for the games sections - especially as when you click on content it goes back to the old GUI.

Lots of good suggestions above. Here's a couple more for your consideration:
For Sale
You too can live the exciting life of an estate agent!
Biblios
The cut-throat world of medieval manuscript auctions!
Red7
Cards! With different numbers and colours! Which cards are the best cards? You decide!

Have been monitoring the situation. Bit of a funny one really. I like words, but pictures might work too - I suspect they could even be combined really well. I don't think it will really outmode the original though. Conversely Spyfall would concern me as a purchase at the minute as it may be outmoded very shortly.
I think the new page format is a step in the right direction for a massively outdated website. Might need some tuning. The live search results are great though.

Hanabi and love letter have been removed from the running on technicalities so kes and Karl can update their votes if they wish

Re: The Club Library - VOTE FOR FILLERS - WITH NEW BONUS VOTES!
A few other good options that might have been forgotten:
Hey, That’s My Fish!
Guillotine
Cockroach Poker
Jaipur
Eight Minute Empire
Two people arriving at around 7:30 (whether separate late comers or people coming in pairs) missing out on the bigger game sign ups seems to be a common scenario at the club (at least it seems to happen to me quite a lot), and as a lot of fillers don't seem to work well with two players it's worth keeping an eye out for solid two-player games like Jaipur.
My vote would be to just get the cheapest ones, because it's more money left to put towards more fillers, and the choice of four fillers is more likely to fit the occasion than two (no matter how much those two have been debated and voted on!). That's what a filler is for, after all. Filling in the gaps.
I do think Sushi Go and Codenames are great choices (and most of the rest, really), but I'll show some love for the other options and vote for Tsuro of the Seas and Jaipur, which have always been a good time whenever I've played.

Re: The Club Library - VOTE FOR FILLERS - WITH NEW BONUS VOTES!
Pitch-Car Mini - A bit of variety and a change from cards, meeples and dice
Straw - A quick, easy to play card game
And after the demo last night, how about a copy of Monkey Butt as well?
Can I suggest too that club invest in a copy of Mr Knizia's Dice Games Properly Explained book which provides dozens of filler games (once you have read it )
