Y games? And ghost hunting with Yvette.

For procrastination today I realised that after my recent purchase of Junk Art my alphabet collection is missing a game beginning with the letter 'Y' (well thanks mainly to X-wing filling one elusive slot). So I just had to see what was available on BGG... and the answer is not much...

There is the obvious Yahtzee but I'm not including that. Only games that would reasonably see time on a table at the club...
Maybe Ys, Yardmaster, Yggdrasil...

I used to own Yspahan. Nice little game, but I sold it to Psycho Sam

Yep, it's good. I occasionally bring my copy if you're interested in trying it. I think Psycho Sam wanted to try it out too.

Anyone got a Y game to recommend?

Yedo is a game I'd check out, and I'd play it with you if you got it. Seems your type of game. So does Yokohama (kickstarted last year I think). I've also wanted to try yggdrasil for a while.


Yardmaster is ok. I think Beardy Tom was talking about it fondly not too long ago, although that might have been a discussion about the name-change of yardmaster express.

For a bit of crossover with the thread on 2017 anticipation. Bruno Cathala has a game called Yamatai out (looks to have really pretty pieces).


You could always go full patriot and get into Yu-gi-oh...

I literally traded yspahan yesterday. Good game though. Yinsh looks pretty good.

Well - that hole did't last long. My gaming alphabet is complete with yedo! Looks like it will fill any LoWD hunger I have.
