Poll for new game/games

Firstly I have to apologise for the amount of time its taken for me to put up this post.  No excuses.  Only apologies.
 
I'll run this until a week on Sunday, which is nearly two weeks and then purchase games from the most popular, down, depending on what the kitty is at the time and the game costs.

I agree with Evan... Lets get one of the aeroplane games and if funds allow... The second game from either co2 or snowdonia... As they appear the next most popular (after another airplane game!)

I'll arrange to get one of the two airline games first and then when funds allow bypass the second airlines game and go for the next one on the list I can get.

Just to give an update. The new games have not arrived yet and are unlikely to arrive before the next meeting, next Tuesday. As soon as I get them I'll post another update

Right. Two new games bought for the club. CO2 and MIL 1049. I picked up the second one as both airlines games are currently out of stock with no current re-stock date.

I've updated the kitty as well which means I'll be looking at buying another game within the next month, based on current income.

With the club now weekly maybe the time has come to spend some of the club funds on removing ads from the site and also getting our own URL. I don't think it's much for 1 year and having a dedicated URL might mean we are found easier on google and even more people join. What do people think?

Out of interest how have some of the new people found the club? Search, word of mouth, etc?

Hello. I'm new here! This seemed a good time to chip in - I'm hoping to get to your next meeting.

I found this place through a google search - on retracing my steps, there's a post on Boardgamegeeks.com from Aneurin Kennerly in November 2011 that directed me here!

Yeah I think most referrals will be redirections from either Echoes, BBG or various messages on Sellers websites. For some reason I can't get the google bot to list our forum... I would think that with our own URL this problem would be fixed and increase our newbie capture.

Ad removal (for 1 year) is 1000 (imperial) credits for all registered users
Our own domain name (for 1 year) is 1600 credits. We can have .com/.net/.org/.biz

25.74 Euro (- anyone know the exchange rate? ~£22) gets us 3000 credits. So enough to get both the ads removed and a domian name with some credits left over for next year...

Got a copy of Airlines Europe from Emporium of all places. Also bought Aeroplane Ascendent, Lords of War and Kings and Things at the Expo. Will be looking to go for the weekend next year. Its much bigger than the last time I went and there were an awful lot of games I'd liked to have a go at.
