Awesome, sounds like a plan then.

Kes, I'll bring monsters along as well...

Are you going to be there next week Paul? I can bring it along if you want and we can try it.

Of Cuba, or monsters? Both are pretty simple actually. With Cuba most of the relevant information is on the cards or tiles on the board. I like it when games lay it out in front of you.

Shouldn't take much explaining so don't feel you have to read the rules before hand Dave.

Aneurin/Paul, post some lists up! We can get this sorted.

Didn't you say, Kes, your new year's resolution was to play more new games? Your prayers are answered. By our problems.

I've been making an effort to play my unplayed games this year, so far I have managed to get Escape: Curse of the Temple and Exodus: Proxima Centauri to the table.
Below is my list of still unplayed games...

Felinia
Knatsch
Industry
Gloom
Twilight struggle
Myrmes
Spartacus
Race for the galaxy

Gloom and Myrmes are both on my own unplayed list so we can get those sorted between us!

Happy to play any of the rest. Except maybe Spartacus. Did I mention I hate bidding?

Lizzie, do you hate bidding?

On my unplayed list...

Road Kill Rally
The Target
Batavia
League of Six
(and if you can believe it...) Zombicide Toxic City Mall

I've also gone a little crazy on kickstarter... and adding soon to that list

Heroes Wanted (PnP - until release)
Tiny Epic Kingdoms (PnP - until release)
Ultimate Werewolf
This Town ain't big enough...

When is Zombicide season 3... hope it's not until November...

I was looking at League of Six once. It's by the same guy as Last Will, which I really like. The tax collecting theme just really put me off. And the box art. I figured Last Will would be easier to get to the table. I'd like to give LoS a go though.

Be interested in playing Batavia too, always like a ship theme. Unless there's bidding in it.

I missed out on Tiny Epic Kingdoms, would love to play it when it arrives.
I've backed a couple, Brew Crafters and Oddball Aeronauts, so they will be added to my unplayed list in a few months. Smile

I've become more cautious about kickstarter. I keep finding games (like Exodus) where the kickstarter edition was less than ideal. I wonder how often it's worth just waiting for a proper print run once the game is successful. Assuming it's successful of course...

Saying that I'm really kicking myself for not getting in on the Among the Stars kickstarter as that game's disappeared off the face of the earth.

Also, Brew Crafters is the best theme ever. That looks awesome!

A lot of campaigns are from established publishers these days and they offer more exclusive items to the backers... things that aren't available in the retail edition... but that can have negative consequences and inflate prices on E-bay...

For a lot of the projects, with postage from the states... you might as well wait for retail and the inevitable price drops below RRP...

Sorry you couldn't make it Dave, hope you're alright.

Cuba was pretty good actually, I liked it more than I thought. I (as usual) ignored the bidding part of the game, but the rest of it worked well. Not going to be hanging on to it though, I just can't see myself pulling it out with any of my groups of gamers.

There's also another game called Santiago de Cuba, which is shorter, smaller, doesn't have bidding, is worker placement not action selection and has the same lovely aesthetic. Basically, is the game I wanted Cuba to be! So I'll sell Cuba and get hold of a copy of that instead.

Also got Titans of the Arena played, which turned out to be a fun little card game. Definitely be bringing that again, makes a good filler.

So, good work team!

Hi Lizzy,

Am fine, just had to be responsible and get some stuff done at home rather than come out and play Smile

I read through the rules and it looked fun - also something my wife might enjoy - if you're really going to sell it I may be interested in picking it up off you...

I will definitely sell it, but I'd have to give first refusal to Paul since I kinda suggested I might sell it last night... You could time-share?
