Re: Tuesday 11 Oct meeting
Yeah my copy . You better look after her, not a scratch you hear .
I as usual won't be there to enjoy a game. Different excuse this time we are actually on holiday (anyone know a good games shop in Scarbrough). I've booked the next session on the calendar so bar a freak storm flooding deepcar I should be there from 8.30pm. I have Batavia to try out.
Back on topic, I think Cylons will win the game. I think it's (base game anyway) broken. I explain my thoughts after you have played.

I'll be there, shall bring a few games.
Also, a month ago, one of the cards for 7 Wonders went missing (Age I Military Card), anyone seen it?

Re: Tuesday 11 Oct meeting
Aneurin,
Unfortunately we didn't get to play BSG as no-one was confident of how to play it. Mike dropped it off but had to go home, so I now have it and will bring it to the next session for you to take it back or give it to someone who will see you soon. I'll be giving the rules a read so hopefully we can play next week, and may try to give it a go if I can get enough friends together if you don't mind.

Yes, sorry I coundn't stay. I did read the rules a bit beforehand and printed out player aids but alas, real life intervened. I felt safe though leaving Aneurin's expensive game in such trusting hands :-)
What did you guys end up playing anyway ?

Re: Tuesday 11 Oct meeting
Well, I can't make next Tuesday because I'm on holiday and off to my sister's. What I mean is I have BSG and the Expansion, though I must admit to not really knowing how to play the expansion. I've had BSG since its release and we've played it at the club a few times. It's an excellent game, However if Clive is playing, he always seems to be the Cylon. Uncanny!
It is a co-operation game with one play becoming a traitor at some point during play. The thing is that nobody knows who the traitor is, sometimes even the traitor himself. When he does, everyone is trying to reveal him and he is trying to work against the group without being found. Eventually, he can reveal himself and he moves to the Cylon area and the cards change and he tries to destroy BSG. The whole thing is card driven and success or failure of the various missions depends on the players secretly throwing in their "support" cards. These are collected and then revealed and the results worked out. Fanttastic and simple at the same time. The more players there are, then an extra Cylon player may be brought in. A very good game! The expansion has two model Cylon Base Stars instead of the Cards in the original too!

Hiya
Yes, Clive's still around. I tend to see him on Friday evenings at the moment for gaming. And of course we had the recent Twilight Imperium 8-player day in his Shed. Thank god he built an outdoor loo next to it :-)
