Yes I can bring the big car so can take another 4 (well 3 now Lizzy called shotgun) people along the Deepcar, Hillsbrough, city centre/Kelham end route.
Rob - what will parking be like at the venue?
Re: WellChild (charity number 289600) Charity event - 8/11/2015
There are about 30 - 40 spaces at the venue
I'll be there from 9am setting up and decorating so you can come down any time from then.
If anyone wants to pop down earlier and help out that would be cool too (I'm just going to be blowing up balloons putting up banners and posters)

No helium sorry,
I currently have no costs for this event and want to keep it that way. So I was just planning on using manpower (or manbreath if you prefer)

Well... *cough*... perhaps if we were to meet at a different undisclosed location I could fill a few *cough* balloons *cough... with a certain type of gas...

I have no medical qualifications, but that sounds like a nasty cough you have there - I don't think you should attempt to blow up any balloons at all in that condition

Especially the centre piece balloons...
Did I ever tell you I can also balloon twist. I make a happy pig (the angry birds nemesis) and Ninja Turtle...

I can make snakes and worms! Also (truthfully) a doggy who has swallowed his ball.

Sorry folks. Have checked and I'll be away in Birmingham for this so can't help out. Sounds like a fantastic event, though!
Re: WellChild (charity number 289600) Charity event - 8/11/2015
I'm looking to try and put on a Wings of War (Wings of Glory) WW1 game for a competition. Jim at Patriot Games believes he has some prizes to give away for it.
I thought it would be quite fitting as its Remembrance Sunday too.
My dad has a few planes he can lend me but would anyone else have any planes we could borrow too?

I don't... sorry... Not my thing... now X-wing...
Re: WellChild (charity number 289600) Charity event - 8/11/2015
If you're still looking for volunteers I'd like to help. Most of the games I have are already being demoed, I do have Star Wars Armada I could bring though if you think that's something people might be interested in? It's abit more slow paced and long winded than X-wing though so I'm not sure if it's a fit or not.

Hi ste-blinky
Yeah I would appreciate any help I can get,
You could run Star Wars armada, I know it's generally a 2 player game but if you are able to incorporate more people, for example each player is responsible for a ship or something... That could be pretty cool.
I'm also looking for people to help run a Wings Of War competition, possibly a splendor competition, and maybe another idea for a competition too...
Iv got a few prizes and need to figure out some a couple of games competitions to run.
Prizes so far include,
Wings of War planes
Splendor bits and bobs
Board game -pints of blood
Board game -Spells of doom
Expansion - zombicide (may have a couple of these)
Board Game - laser cat attack
Board game - monkeys need love too
There may be a couple of others too.
Some of these I can use in a raffle but others I would like to run some game competitions
So if anyone has any ideas, please let me know

I'll have a think about 4 player Armada, pretty sure it's doable; failing that, or as well as, I could run the learning scenario with people which is pretty basic and perhaps shorten it down by a couple of turns in order to allow more people to try it.
By the way I'm a large for the T-Shirt.

We may also want to remove some of the duplication (3 copies of Fluxx, 2 of King of Tokyo).

I'll be bringing everything I committed to, plus some others. Probably Thunderbirds and Train Heist.

Nice prizes!
Maybe Codenames Paul? Good intro game. I'll bring my copy of Splendor. If there's a tournament, presumably we need as many copies as possible. Colt Express doesn't seem to be on the list. I can bring mine, or are you bringing yours with expansion Aneurin? Otherwise I'll throw a few card games in the bag, like Pick a Polar Bear and Dobble.
