As do I
As for my favourite game? I have no idea at all -that changes by mood and day in all honesty! Over the past year I've been introduced to entirely too many new games that I've really enjoyed but not necessarily played enough to get a true feeling of it.
Resistance (or Avalon) is probably my most *played* game but as for favorite? probably not...
I think I would probably go with Battlestar Galactica, although I haven't played that in far too long.

I do like Twilight Imperium, but jeez is that a lot of time to devote to a game.
Re: Favourite Game
Time is an important factor. I actually love Spartacus but it takes long enough that I don't get to play it as often as a simpler game like Catan. Same with Eclipse
Re: Favourite Game
I still have Spartacus on my unplayed list. Will bring it in a couple of weeks if you're up for it?Kes wrote:Time is an important factor. I actually love Spartacus but it takes long enough that I don't get to play it as often as a simpler game like Catan. Same with Eclipse

Re: Favourite Game
Id like to try Spartacus at some point too. Would also like another crack at Cyclades after Paul ninja'd the win from under me last time we played
Re: Favourite Game
I'm confused, does one of you have Cyclades? I was pretty tempted to get it today:

But I've resisted so far...

Re: Favourite Game
Neither of us own it, but we both played it with Chris not long after we first joined the group...

I don't own it, but I have £20 in Amazon vouchers burning a hole in my inbox. It is likely that these will go towards a copy of Cyclades.

I've got Spartacus and the expansion and happy to play any time. It is a full session game though. I think joe was up for playing again

OK, I'll have to find something else to spend the vouchers on - I just bought it from the link you sent, Lizzy. If I'm not at the club tomorrow it's because my wife has found out...

Probably, at the moment, it's Lords of Waterdeep (with the expansion).
On reflection, I've changed my mind - I love Waterdeep, but my favourite is Robinson Crusoe. It took a few plays to iron out the wrinkles in the rule book and you often know whether you will win or lose a couple of rounds before the end, but I love how quickly fortunes can turn in the game. Also, the fact that many of your decisions can crop up later in the game to clobber you is great.

Re: Favourite Game
I think I have to add Tigris and Eurphates to my favourites lost... A brilliant abstract game full of deep strategy... And one that works really well on iOS
