Scratch that! Looks like I'll have to get in on some Flick em Up action some other time. Will be playing Game of Thrones...

Jamie and I are finally going to give Game of Thrones a bash, anyone fancy joining us? It can be quite long so I'd encourage everyone to try and keep it speedy!

I'll read the rules again and try and get to the pub early to set up.

You'll really want to fill the roster on that one!
Re: Tuesday 17th May
With UKGE now only about 3 weeks away, I could do with some intensive playtesting. Would anyone be interested in playing The Path to Panic? I would be playing, leaving room for 3 to 5 other players. Thanks.

Hi Andy, DaveB and I were due to play Rebellion, but we're happy to playtest P2P with you instead. Sign us up!

Paulyg are you down? If so, any chance you could produce your copy of the rather brilliant steampunk rally?

Re: Tuesday 17th May
Sorry, I'm going to be in holiday for the next couple of weeks. Will bring it next time I'm down (which will probably be after the UKGE).psychomansam wrote:Paulyg are you down? If so, any chance you could produce your copy of the rather brilliant steampunk rally?

Paul and Dave - thanks so much for your offers to play, but the last thing I want is for anyone to abandon existing plans just to play P to P. Tuesday's SBGC meetups are not specifically intended for playtesting; they give people an opportunity to play the games they don't otherwise have a chance to bring to the table, with friends they might only see that once a week. And I'm sure that Rebellion is far superior to my untidily bloated game! If you really have no preference one way or the other, I'm grateful and of course you are both more than welcome to play Path to Panic, but if you were keen to get in a Rebellion session, please do that.
Thanks.

No bother at all Andy, we'd love to play Path to Panic!
Did you make it into Wyvern's Lair?

Don't sweat it - I've been wanting to try P2P for ages - and besides a giant 2P game isn't necessarily the best fit for a club night anyway

This is an excellent point, however Paul and I are both vehicularly-equipped and can easily head to the other to play a game, even if we do live on opposite ends of Sheffield (for example I'm heading there on Sunday to play Battlestar Galactica \o/)
EDIT: It's also worth noting we'd both come to the conclusion to do Rebellion another time and play P2P on Tuesday independently of the other so was a very quick conversation to agree to switch over
Re: Tuesday 17th May
Well thanks for your interest, Paul and Dave. I want to get as many playtests in as possible before UKGE, so I really appreciate it. I imagine we'll be able to pick up another 1-3 players on the night.
The Path to Panic didn't make the Wyvern's Lair shortlist unfortunately, but I do have a 3 hour slot in the Playtest UK area booked on Friday afternoon. I'm definitely looking forward to it.

Well I believe Evan is planning on bringing ravenloft down. Aneurin is bringing fzzt down and Karl can prob bring cargo down (but why). Happy to join you for all but cargo!

I'll play Ravenloft. Not sure why I didn't put that on my to play list, it sounds like Shadows of Brimstone, which I like a lot. Happy to play Fzzt and Web of Spies too. I also share Sam's bemusement re: Cargo.

It just manages to scrape in with an average bgg rating starting with a 5. And it's 12 years old. Now if you want to buy it kes...

Re: Tuesday 17th May
Yes I'm bringing Castle Ravenloft down... It's hard!! - I've enjoyed playing it with the kids though.. but glad to see the box going out my house - takes up enough space for 3 other games!!
Re: Tuesday 17th May
Hi, I'm Richard, I'm a new face here and I'm relatively new to board gaming but as it happens one of the few modern ones I've played is Game of Thrones. If there's a seat available at that table I'd love to join.
