That's my fault Andy, I was having a 'trigger moment' (like from Only Fools and Horses, where Trigger keeps calling Rodney, 'Dave').
Sorry Andy! (oops, I mean Rob).

Only that there's so many of us, it's plenty confusing enough already. We don't need to complicate matters by starting to call people "Andy" at random. As one of the multitude of Pauls, I'm sure you can appreciate it.
Thanks for the information about the event. As it sounds like it's just open to the public (ie without pre-allocated tickets, unless I misunderstood), the venue I had in mind won't work, sorry. I should be able to bring The Path to Panic if that sounds like like something people would like, otherwise I'd be happy to demo a proper game like Above and Below or Rococo or something. At any rate, I'm happy to help out where I can.

Thanks Andy,
The event is actually ticketed. Patriot Games sold tickets for me last year

Re: Roll With It 2016
Okay, after lots of searching and negotiating,
I seem to have 3 options for venues
1) Handsworth Rectory - same place as last year - I need to raise at least £200 to afford this again
2) Sheffield United FC Platinum Suite - this is quite a large venue with lots of parking and is in the city centre - I need to raise £400 to afford this though.
3) Leopold Hotel - a much smaller venue (rooms are about 10metres x 7metres) and I'm still negotiating how many rooms we actually get - they are offering this for free
Do any of you have any thoughts or fund raising ideas? And would anyone want to get involved in any fund raising?
You guys are all doing so much already, so I really don't mind if you can't or don't want to.
So far I'm arranging a raffle and cake bake at work which should raise around £200ish
Any ideas are greatly appreciated

Re: Roll With It 2016
Thanks Scott I really appreciate it.
I'm not sure what I could offer people if I put it on Kickstarter... Last year the ticket sales made up the bulk of the donation to charity. If I can, I'd like that to be the case this year too. Ideally I don't want ticket sales to only cover the cost of the venue...
So I feel offering tickets on Kickstarter is kind of a last resort...

Re: Roll With It 2016
After a big day fund raising, I now have enough to run roll with it.
It will be at Bramall Lane, in the Platinum Suite on Sunday 6th November.
Now I'm looking for confirmation of who wants to volunteer to run games again?
It's a bigger venue than last year so I'm trying to get an idea of numbers.

Cheers guys, I really appreciate it.
I'll get hold of some posters/flyers and I'll pop down to the club I'll see if I can persuade any more volunteers too

Re: Roll With It 2016
Thanks for helping out again guys.
In order to try and promote the event this year I'm thinking of arranging some demo days with companies.
I've already contacted Waterstones, WH Smiths, Meadowhall and the Winter Gardens.
If I get acceptance, would anyone be interested in taking part in this?
Iv not got dates or times yet, I'm just trying to gage interest.
Also if anyone has any ideas of other places I can contact, please let me know

Re: Roll With It 2016
I might be able to help out, but it'll depend on the dates and times.
Trying to think of places you could demo:
The Student's Union
Blackwell's
The Diamond
The Works
The Entertainer
Independent coffee shops and cafes? (I was specifically thinking of one on the moore with this).
I'm aware some of these are better ideas than others.

Waterstones? They sell board games (I bought Sheriff of Nottingham from there).
