Re: Roll With It 2016
Thanks for all the input so far guys.
I'm currently waiting on Waterstones and WH Smiths to confirm about running some games in store.
I'm also waiting on flyers being printed up, once they are I will pop to the club to promote a little
The venue is bigger than last year and holds around 60 tables (last year 30).
I really appreciate all your efforts and involvement with this, so would anyone mind if I invited another board game club (from such as Leeds) to also volunteer to run games on the day?
So far, 10 people here have volunteered and I think managing 6 tables each could be a little much...

Re: Roll With It 2016
My hope is to attend and be able to help out. However given my current situation is very much in flux at the moment I can't make any promises or guarantees right now...

Re: Roll With It 2016
Dave B - I really appreciate anything you can do, just let me know when you can.
Kes - the details are that its at bramall lane from 10 am til 8pm. Volunteers need to bring their own games to demo and I'll get a list from everyone on here as to who is bringing what.
Scott - iv got the flyers now (handed a few out at the club last night) I'll try and pop by again and drop some more off with you.
Finally,
Outpost have been kind enough to donate a few prizes (magic the gathering gift box, catan and zombicide).
They want to demo Hybrid (apparently a wargame)
I'm tempted to invite them down, but wondered your thoughts about it as its not a board game, do you guys think there would there be any interest?

I'm afraid I'm going to have to go back on my offer to help - I'll now be on holiday. Sorry about that, and hope it goes well.

OK confirmed I'm available... although I have a 40th birthday on the sat night so I might need to teach something simple... Snap maybe

I don't believe I'm down to play or teach anything in particular - is there anything you'd like me to focus on?
I take a XXXL shirt btw

Re: Roll With It 2016
I dont currently have a schedule of games. Last year you guys all decided what you would bring and demo and we put together a bit of a lost on here. Could you do something similar this year? Just post here what games you are willing to bring and demo?

Re: Roll With It 2016
I certainly do Meurig
We now have 16 volunteers and a maybe from outpost with access to 60 tables so if we could run a couple of tables each (I think you seemed to manage okay with that last year) we are using half of them. Then their will be a few tables for patriot games to run a stall and me to run a charity stall too.
I'm also hoping to have an area for people to bring and play their own games too so that should be pretty cool now
Can you let me know what your shirt size is? And what games you can bring to demo?

Are the t-shirts the same as last years? If so, I still have one.

Re: Roll With It 2016
M please
Labyrinth (light tile place/route builder/abstract, classic, 4 player)
Mangrovia (light gateway euro, 5 player [better with 4 though])
Sea of Clouds (light card draft/set collection, 4 player)
Wombat Rescue (light pick up and deliver, 4 player)
Games I'll bring if noone else is (but I know a few people have them, so we should probably sort that out somehow as I don't want to bring them all myself and deprive you of that joy):
King of Tokyo
Kodama
Forbidden Desert
Carcassonne
Codenames
Citadels
Edit: Just thought- some of these are in the club library. Are we providing that, or is that a no go?
